What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud?
Uhhhh, maybe I should start out by saying that I did something good before I did something bad. I got on the elliptical for 25 minutes while I was waiting for DH to get home with my Popeye's fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy.
But here's the deal. Now that I've lost my twelve pounds, I have decided that I'm ready to transition from losing weight to maintaining weight, so I'm going from Atkins to the Sugar Buster diet. It's more of a low carb lifestyle plan with more fruits and fiber. And now that I'm all healed up from my surgery, I'm ready to start getting down and dirty with the exercise again. I would like to lose some inches in my belly, but not necessarily a lot more weight.
I'm proud that I plan to work off my little indiscretion!!!

Hey....you could have been munching on candy bars while you waited for those mashed potatoes and gravy....your plan sounds good to me!
I dug out (and I literally mean dug out) my old Leslie Sansone walking VHS tape this morning and did 1/2 mile of the mile walk. I haven't felt like I could do this with my knees hurting so badly, but the water walking seems to have helped them (or maybe just my state of mind) and I wanted to give it a try. Didn't do more than the 15 minutes cause didn't want to do any additional damage, but feel good today and they don't bother me anymore than usual so maybe I can incorporate that back into my life.
Might just suggest to my SO taking a walk around the block tonight after supper!!

I like your way of thinking Sherrie! I could have pulled a Chris and been munching down on Butterfingers while waiting for the carbs to get here, so maybe I done better than I thought I did!
Yanno, when I first started working out, I did Tae Bo. but that was starting to get hard on my knees, and being as there was nothing wrong with my knees I wanted to preserve them. So I started doing Leslie Sansone, but I incorporated my Tae Bo moves into her plan. So when she would go from side to side, I did half squats with that. And when she kicked, I did roundhouse kicks or front kicks with that.
So I'll give you my tips for doing Leslie. When you are doing side to side keep your feet facing forward. When you are doing the kickbacks and your feet are sideways, keep your knees facing the exact way your knee is facing. You'll be surprised how much that helps your knees. Don't forget to keep your tummy pulled in and your buttocks tight. That will give you buns of steel!
Before you know it, you'll be going four miles like it's a walk in the park.

Hi Mary - if Popeye's was the meal, do NOT apologize for that!
Hell, Girl, I usta have Popeyes BEFORE supper, then act like "just a little dab would do me" when I sat down with my family!
My proud today thing: 75 minute butt busting bike ride before work! Big hills! Buckets of Sweat! I am Mighty Bike Girl!

ummmmm...I budgeted my big ole ass off all evening yesterday just to accomplish...Nothing. I still don't have a rock solid plan on my finances. UGH!
Kids went back to school full time today. Yeah me!
I start work tomorrow and will go thru May. I'm scared to death but I know a few days and I will be doing fine.
Nice plan, Mary. Wish I had one right now.

Girl, you are going to do fine on the bus with your little ones. I'm not worried aboutcha at all.
I don't know much about accounting, I got an A in college by the hardest, but my right brain was traumatized by it. My vote is to stop feeding those young'uns!
I've had a long time to think about which plan I would use when I got to maintenance, so the hardest part was getting there!
