So guys the last time we talked i decided to get  a personal trainer she's kickin' my butt!  I've committed myself to working out at least 5 times a week  and still taking my salsa classes no excuses. And I have to admit  i feel great , i sleep so much better and best of all I've lost a totally of 16 lbs so far wow!!! (smiling) i am so happy. A little disappointed because by original goal was to get to 220 by 8-25 but  I REALIZE I really was trying my best ,220 doesn't seem so far away anymore. So I was thinking of doing a marathon for Thanksgiving. in austin we have this race called the Turkey run (gobble gobble). So wish me luck and send me all your positive energy.  Don't know if my big butt can handle to long run  but I'm still going to give it a try!  Esther

Congrats on your 'kickin butt' personal trainer!  I too have a personal trainer and I feel like it makes such a difference having someone make sure my technique is good.

THANKS KIMBERLY!!
Not only does she kick my butt but I have to be accountable and workout even on the days I don't want to!

I think a personal trainer is well worth the investment.  I've been doing this on and off most of my life.  Form is SO important.  (I got my butt kicked too today.... as well as my every muscle in my legs).. lol

Congrats on the loss!  Salsa.. sounds like a lot of fun.

Hope you have a great time in your Turkey Run..... THAT sounds like a lot of fun too!!  :)

thank you Lori,
I will try HARD to keep it up! I DO agree about the investment. An old friend came in this afternoon and said" What are you doing. you look great" "keep up whatever your doing.....it's working" . Compliments always make you feeel good don't they?! Esther
And yes the salsa class is really fun.

Wow!  Good for you! Inches are more important...not to mention the great things you are doing for your bod on a cellular level..that is very fantastic.

I was also thinking of trying a trainer group here in town this winter when i typically hit a slump. I do miss lifting weights and my achiness has kind of subsided. I wonder if would aggravte my bones again?  I was thinking of commtting for a month just to see what happens.

We have a Turkey Trot here in our town, too. I may get back to doing the 10K!  I've walked it with DD and baby GS...who are getting bigger and more in athletics. We've done ours for 9 years in a row.

wow Neecee,

Nine years in a row! Don't know if I can top that but for now I'm gonna try. I REALLY need someone to motivate me and keep me on focus.  Five miles may not seem like a long run to most people but for a women like me who hasn't done any running since......well i think since High school(and that's only because the teachers made us), it's going to be quite a  challenge!! lol
