What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud?

I'm proud that I exercise!  I was watching Dr. Oz's show last night and there were two men who were having a hard time getting motivated to work out.  And I must say I thought they were a li'l rebellious about it.  Dr. Oz was surprised that one wasn't losing as fast as he should and he was amazed that one wasn't losing anything at all.  As much as I hate to Get R Done, at least I am accountable to myself for making sure that I do the right thing.

I know for some of us it's harder than others...I say my endorphins don't work! Wakka Wakka But for everyone of us that are forcing ourselves to exercise...I'm proud of you, too! High Five

Okay today i'm very proud to say that i'm down 2 1/4 lbs since i starte my diet with Beverly Hills Weight loss. I'm also very proud to say i haven't cheated today. The last 3 days i've done pretty good. I've had a few slips but nothing really major that i'm gonna boohoo about. I've had 3 (1/2 pieces) of bacon, I slice my bacon in 1/2 and save the other half for tomorrow to fry. So I'm very proud of myself today and i'm determined to stay that away.

Way to go Brandy! Bouncy 2 We're bouncing with you.

I've never heard of Beverly Hills Weight Loss, but it sounds like it's working for you.  We'll look forward to more reports of your success.

I too am proud that I exercise and proud that my endorphins work.  As you know, I haven't been released to exercise yet (after my last PS procedure) but I've managed to lose 10 pounds despite not exercising.  And I'm VERY proud of that.

I'm proud that I've finally decided to put away my books.  Actually I haven't done it yet, but it will get done today! :)  I'm also proud that I'm actually excited and feel like I got a fresh start some how...can't figure out why or how.lol  But it's a good feeling to have.  I do have to admit that I'm scared of the withdrawals on this plan.  I'm praying it won't be too bad.

You know what Holly, you and I just have to realize that we have issues.  I have PCOS, so when I dieted, I would lose two pounds and gain one.  I just had to come to the realization that for me, that's how I lost weight.

For you, every time you start a diet you have withdrawal symptoms.  You need to embrace this fact of your life and have a plan of how you are going to deal with the stress and stay on plan when those symptoms show up.  You've had them before and they didn't kill you or harm you physically, so you have nothing to be afraid of, other than the way you deal with them.  So when you get sick to your stomach, try taking an antacid.  If you get the shakes, take a hot shower.  You see what I'm saying, get your plan of attack in your head now, so when the time comes, you'll know what you are going to do.  Brace yourself for what you know is coming and warn everyone around you that it ain't gonna be perty...but it's something you need to get through!

 Prayer I'm praying for you,

Mary

Thanks Mary, and good advice! :)  I have been thinking about it, that is why I brought it up.  It even mentions it in the book that there is withdrawals, so I know it's just not me "on this one" .hehe  I 'm gonna beat it though.  It says it usually lasts about a week at the most.  I might just be writing some of you guys  to work my way past it.  Writing seems to help me tons.  So whomever I pick to write too, just ignore it.haha  I'm doin'  my do to get me through it.

I love it you said to take an antacid.  I have this thing for antacids.  My husband says I think antacids cures all!ha

I'm proud that I kept my cool today when my dd's were yelling and screaming at each other and then turned on me. I didn't raise my voice but twice, once when my 15yr old wouldn't calm down to hear me out and the other when my 18yr tossed my box fan across the bedroom floor because "I wouldn't listen to her."  We worked through it all and all is well...this time.

I'm proud that I stood up and told my daughter's best friend's grandmother that her granddaughter will always have a home if I have my way about it. I also offered to go to TX and pick her up this spring if she wanted me to and I would take her back home as well. This little girl is like a part of my family and she goes back to her grandmother in TX on Friday and we don't know when we will see her again. My whole family is upset about it. I honestly would adopt her if they would let me.

It's been a tough week to say the least.
