What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud?

First, let me start by saying that I missed ya'll like crazee!  And I'm proud to say...I'm Back.

Last weekend was all about cleaning and cooking for a ton of company.  We had a lot of fun here and then we went to the Coast to go casino hopping on the Redneck Riviera.  Good news is that I won right away Slots So I got to play on their money.  Bad news is that I didn't bring any money home!  We got home Wednesday and I got some sort of stomach bug.  I'm just now starting to feel better, and it seems I lost two pounds the hard way.  Ewwwe.

I'm sorry that I missed out on all of the great conversations, but I'm going to check out what you've been up to lately.

Good to be back with my favorite losers on the planet!

Congrats on the win and free play! That's the best way to have fun at a casino.

Where do I start?

Well, I am now down 57# to 316. Yeah me! Only 16 more to Twoterville! I'm so excited.

I test Monday for my CDL I did the skills test yesterday and only missed 3 points on the back up. I can miss 41 total on the whole test so I have 38 left for Monday.

I took my 15 yr old to the doc this morning. She is now on 10mg Prozac for depression and I need to get counseling set up. I am soooo glad she came to me. I have suspected this for the last 2.5 years. I have even had the school psychologist talk to her about 1.5 years ago and was told it was normal teenage angst. I disagreed but trusted and then three days ago she came to me. I thank God she came to me because she has had thoughts of suicide. I love her dearly and could not bear to see anything happen to her. I would rather deal with depression than a funeral. I know. Scary, huh? Good thing is, I see a definite change in her attitude already and she has only taken one pill. What a sense of relief.

My oldest got a job in between college 2 days a week so she is on the road to growing and becoming an adult. I am so proud of her.

My 20th anniversary was this week. I know others don't think they could live with my hubby because of his personality but to me he truly is a great man, husband, father and lover. I am truly blessed to have him all this time. Sappy, huh?

My week is starting to look up. Slowly but it's happening.

Beth

PS. Gave my size 32 jeans to my mom and I don't EVER want them back! It felt sooo good and freeing! It was an awesome moment in my journey!

Dayum Beth, I am overjoyed to hear that you were able to get some help for your daughter.  I remember being put on Prozac for a month because my hormones were inflaming my nerve endings and I had a bad case of permanent PMS.  I felt better just as soon as I took the pill.  It makes me wonder about what these teenagers go through with all of those hormones going berserck. Thinking Tell her that we wish the best for her.

Happy Anniversary Twenty years is a long time ain't it?  I was married twenty-nine years last weekend and it still amazes me that my sweetie treated me like a queen when I was normal sized and still did when I weighed over three hundred pounds.  So yeah, I can see how you would get mushie over such a guy!

I pray you don't lose any more points!

Thanks Mary. I am truly blessed that my daughter trust me enough to come to me at her worst. Also, you are so right about the hubbies. Thank God for blessing us so.

Beth....you are truly blessed that your daughter felt comfortable enough to share the pain she was feeling.....it says volumes about your relationship.  So many teens struggle with depression and I'm so glad you are on the right track of getting her the help she needs.

Congrautlations on being one step closer to Twoterville!  Happy anniversay and good luck on Monday with that test.
