I was wondering if any of you has tried this drug.  Since I've made this new commitment to weight loss and healthy eating and exercising, I was thinking about this drug I heard about awhile back.

Thanks....Sue

I have had 2 friends take this Alli.... for me it's not logical.... Any fat you eat good or bad won't be absorbed  by for body  but and like I told my friends is 3lbs a month worth all that money?
if your a cheater then at least some of the fat will come out the other end and not stay in your body but.....

the concept is good meaning if you dont change your eating habits your body won't absorb the fat, It's a way to help you with a diet plan in play and like most diet aids,it says to follow a food and exercise plan with it ,Try it for a month and see how it goes,
Only you will know what you need to change to suceed in your weightloss
all the best of luck allways

I actually work for the company that makes this, so I have a great understanding of its working mechanism.  Long story short, it prevents you from absorbing 300calories of fat, so over any given week, that's about .5 lb of potential weight loss.

However, personally I believe that low fat isn't an ideal diet--in fact, it's counterintuitive to dieting as healthy fat intake moves fat and there is not a single dietary study that proves that fat itself is bad for you--it's all based on a correlation between excess weight which causes heart problems, not fat intake, and it is presumed that by reducing the unnecessary fat calories, one will lose weight.

Well, I would never take the product--who wants to worry about leaky stools--and it DOES happen.  Besides, if you do your research, you'll come to know how important fat is to weight loss.

I 'fessed up a while ago...I used it.

it is not worth the money. And like Jerz says, fat is not typically the culprit unless you are a fast food junkie, in which case, that would mean to me, quit eating that crap. I tend to eat moderate levels of better grades of fat, more like about 35-45% and i figure it helps me not over eat.  I bascially taught myself to eat small portions of rich foods (by that I mean high fat)

I still use it on vacation when i do tend to eat road food like Burger King. However they mean it when they say leaky stools. Luckily, I am a regular type, so for me, that is not a big problem. I learned to not trust a fart in the morning, that I will tell you. I know, TMI!
