What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud?
Well.... let's see.. yesterday I did like an hour and a half of cardio in the morning.... then went back and did another hour in the evening. I guess I'm proud of myself for that.
I gotta figure out a way to fight the poundage thing.... I DID make it down to 203 -204 just a couple of weeks ago... I hit 220 the other day... today 216.4.
Today I pushed Andrew to PUSH me! So I did an hour of cardio, then a HARD hour of chest and tri's. I did progressive weight on chest... I don't care WHAT it looks like anymore.. I want to get back to being able to push 225 on the negatives and have THAT be my standard. Andrew says he doesn't think I'll gain any more muscle than what I already have....... it should just harden up again. As a matter of fact.. I should feel proud that I've managed to take down the muscle mass on my forearms and triceps.... they are still cut, but not as bulky (AMEN)! So... I'm proud that I worked my (_o_) off! (even though it looks more like this --> (__o__).
I'll go back to the gym after I lay out and clean the house to within an inch of it's life.
Jon's been out of town all week and my daughter moved out the other day... so I've got all this time.
OH... and there IS a name for this business now.. and my accountant did the incorporation for me the other day.
"Communications Connection, Inc." This name sounds professional and leaves me room to expand into cellular, marine, cb parts and accessories as well as prepay replenishments (which is a draw and pushes accessory sales up). My only fear is that I'll be doing this without Jon this time as it's not prudent for him to leave his current job to do this with me and it presents a conflict of interest if he does it with me while keeping his current position.
My daughter had the master suite here.. and now that she's gone, it'll make a pretty nice sized office with plenty of room to store some inventory until I decide whether or not to go for a brick and mortar location. PS... I already went to the Chamber and got set up with them... as soon as Jon gets back we'll fund the business account, and I'm already looking at leads. I'm already set up with a 450 UHF Motorola and Kenwood supplier - Now I just gotta get up the guts to get out there and knock on doors (as soon as I approve a logo and have a gross of coffee mugs printed. (I hate going anywhere empty handed). I sitll have LOTS of give away stuff from my last business so all I have to do is get my name and number on 'em.
So.. I'm proud that at least I'm TRYING to think! In 40 lbs I'll be able to sell ice to an Eskimo!
I'M SCARED.. HOLD ME! LOL

Hey Lori!Don't be scared, Sister...this is your life calling and you have to live the hell out of it! And forty pounds ain't got nothing to do with your sales ability, so PLEASE get that through your head. I was in my plastic surgeons office and there was a medical sales rep in the waiting room who had to weigh at least 350 pounds. But he had us all laughing and was very charming, and the girls in the office all like him a lot, so you see, it's YOU, not your weight.
I LOVE the name you picked! You did soooo much better than we did, by miles.
Now get yo A$$ out there and sell that ice!

Last Friday, I got myself a part-time job as a cashier at a Giant Eagle Supermarket. I got it from the very first interview, and that's a rare occurance, especially since I have no cashier experience. But my typing skills as a former secretary (which I've kept up on my home computer) will come in handy. Also, my people skills as a home health aide will aide me in handling customers on my new job. I'm elated!
