Banana yogurt smoothie
found this in a magazine..sounds good to me!!
1-2 scoops of whey protein
1 ripe banana
1/2 cup of organic lowfat yogurt
1/4 tsp. of pure vanilla powder
COMBINE all ingredients in a blender and puree until the mixture reaches the desired consistency. For a thinner drink..add more liquid..to get a more sorbet-like treat, use less..
Question: what is pure vanilla powder..probably a silly quesiton..but i gues it'd be in the baking area at the store.

Hey Stacey,
Just wanted to let you know if you like banana smoothies try mixing together either soy or nonfat milk, frozen chunks of banana (when mine start getting old I immediately cut them into fourths and freeze them for smoothies...this way I know how much banana i'm eating also), and a package of SF hot chocolate mix. Add a couple packs of splenda or some kind of sweetener if you like it really sweet. I sometimes even put strawberries or blueberries in with it.
or..
get creative and make a veggie smoothie with spinach, little pom juice or carrot juice with water, and a piece of fruit.
mmmmm :)
What is bad..i have never thought of freezing them to use them later like that ...i usually end up just throwing mine away!! But i will def.. have to try that..i've been looking for a good smoothie recipe and one that is easy and doesnt call for all kinds of stuff. I'll have to let u know when i try it
