Gulp... I'm back!

I'm on day 3 of my program- doing great so far. Upset at ME for letting myself pig out for the past 4 months (more or less) I gained a whopping 10+ pounds and now an trying to get on my feet again.

I got on my scale this a.m. and saw 197. That made me VERY VERY happy as I know I must have been OVER 200 a few days back! But I did NOT SEE it! So I am working from here and I will get down to the 180's again! I had seen 186 and then I let myself go... hgave myself to much freedom to pork :(   

Anyhow, my job is KILLING me! Probably much of the reason I've been out of control. I love all my kiddo's but we've had NO school, NO BREAK... I've had 8 kiddo's (9 counting my 13 y/o who is really like FIVE little kids!) every week day and for most of that time the weather has absolutely SUCKED! It is down right COLD!  Right now it is noon and only 48- raining and nasty. So it's not even fun to play outside right now.

My kids are doing okay... did get some idiot news yesterday on my preggo dd! A couple weeks ago she & her friend we being silly- walking the dog they went to the PO and there was a roll of stickers promoting some business. They were doing what they THOUGHT was just a silly PRANK. And stuck them here and there around town! Like 4 on each store front (we have maybe 12 stores in this podunk town) and along the boat harbor on some cars.... it was pouring so they knew those wouldn't stick long... just being IDIOT KIDS- NOT THINKING- NOT being responsible.

The police came to talk to her 1.5 weeks ago- the two gals took some cleaning stuff and went down and removed all that were still there.

That night they left for another town so dd could get her "high level" sonogram (HEART HEALTHY BTW... and GIRL:)

Well, it seems they are going to get busted now. So here she is- 5 months preggo and arrested for the first time in her life!  We don't know if they plan to arrest her as she returns on the ferry tomorrow or just how it'll happen?

But at least the babe is HEALTHY. That was our GOOD news for the week :)  Her bf had a heart defect that corrected itself as a child- and I have had 2 heart defected kiddo's- so this is GREAT news! AND... I wanted a GIRL :)

School starts on September 2 up here- I just ordered dd's backpack, school bag and winter coat/boots. OH JOY! We are looking at plopping 5k down on a new electric boiler now as we just cannot go through the winter on these oil prices!  It'll be $1,000 every 2 months through the winter otherwise!

Hopefully I'll get to pop in at nap time every day! I have missed you all but felt like such a failure :(

You are not paid enuf for what you do...that job to watch lil guys is so under rated. I could not do it, yet how vital is it. Those moms are so lucky to have you.

I am jealous of your new bb girl!!!!!! Love those boys, but i only want one teeny weeny girl one, too!

Hey there! Thanks for the boost :)  I guess our state must feel we are worth something (FINALLY!) as they are giving us a RAISE :)  Can you believe it!? That happens like once every 10 years or so! They actually raised (as of SEPT) our payments for state assistance kiddo's by $50 per kiddo- per month YEAH!  LOL  Doesn't sound like a lot but hey, if I have 7 (as I have now) and all are on assistance- it adds up :)

I know what you mean with the bb girl :)  My oldest had two boys (15 mos apart) and then a girl (5 now) but you know the history with her ex... I wasn't much allowed to care for her (though she's sleeping in my DC room as I type today! :) so I never got to enjoy that LITTLE stage. This one I am SOOOO looking forward to! And my 7 y/o cracks me up! She is browsing the internet stores CONSTANTLY to find baby GIRL things :)   This one is going to be MY baby too :)  (in a healthy way... I don't intend to step in and take over ;)

I thought you might be in need of a good laugh. When I read your post regarding the weather, I thought "what the hell, its July and only 48 in Arkansas???"

Yeah, I am that stupid!! LOL

I give you a huge amount of credit for what you have already accomplished with your weight loss! It is harder to lose the farther North you are. Less sun means more eating. That's just my 2 cents from growing up in Northern Michigan. It's hard for everyone, but I think it is harder in a cooler climate.

LOL Oh that did give me a chuckle :)  I wish the chilly weather WAS in AR rather than AK :)   I DO find it much harder to keep out of the depression pit up here- even though I am born/raised here- I am learning to detest the crummy weather :(  We have been POURED on for days now- just nasty WET dreary weather. Yesterday got up to 50 and today has been up to a whopping 52... JOY!  I usually just use a sheet on my bed this time of year- this year- I've not taken my winter quilts off! My 7 y/o asked for her electric blanket back (I stored it in her closet for the "summer")

So tell me!!! WHERE did you grow up????  You must be a YOOPER hey?  My dh is a transplanted yooper!  He has family around there yet :)    (You can PM me if you rather) :)

Never a Yooper! I even lost my "a" since I have been in Florida the past 10 years......ex) "that's a nice car a? LOL

I grew up in the burbs of southern MI, we owned a resort in northern MI where I felt most at home. I moved up to Lupton and lived there for a year. Lupton is in the middle of no where, but it had a church a bar and a lake so that makes it a town. I do miss it though, I really miss my big man's flannel shirt and leggings with scrunchy socks look!

I will PM you tonight after I get off of work, just to give you something to "look forward" too! LOL
