B: 3 eggs
     2 pieces of toast
     2 pieces of cheese
S: 1 serving of potato chips and dip
L: 2 flounder filets
D: No clue yet

Guys I have a question - Should I get a fill?  I had a problem that I can't get in enough calories so getting a fill will cut down on how many calories I can get in, but I'm eating A LOT, quantity wise.  Should I get a fill?

You have had lap band?  I thought this was the non-surgical weight loss forum?  Anyhow....

     1 oz. cheese slice
     1 oz. shaved turkey

L:  Forgot to eat

D:  Probably half of a grilled boneless, skinless chicken breast

Dude, I call this the Heinz 57 board...we've got all kinds of people dealing with weight issues.  If you don't mind me being in your business, what kind of a plan are you on?

This is predominantly a WLS free zone HOWEVER Janina and others are still facing the same challenges and obstacles we are even with the surgery so we chug along together as one big happy family.

As far as your plan, based on your menu, I would say you are doing like most of us...high pro/low carb...am I correct?

Before I got my lap band, I had to lose about 40 pounds, so I was doing it, obviously, the non-surgical way.  I fell in love with the people on this board and never left.   They're my family now.

Janina, I don't have experience with the lap band. That being said logic says to me that if you are gaining weight and can't control your eating, get a fill. On the other hand, if you are eating larger amounts of healthy foods and you are losing and/or maintaining, now may not be the time for a fill.

Like I said, tho, this is coming from someone who has never had a lapband or known anyone personally who has had one so take my advice for what it's worth.

Hey Janina,

I was wondering about when the last time you got your fill was.  I say go for it, what do you have to lose?  Have to get some taken out?   He can adjust it accordingly can't he?  I'm just assuming yes, or I thought I read about it.

If you had trouble last time with calories didn't your doctor say anything about reducing your fill next time?  Or do you have trouble on any amount?  I'm curious.

You have this valuable tool for a reason Janina, use it unless it hurts your health.  After all, that is why you have it!

my two cents
