WW confuseing point system -sigh-HELPPPPPPPP
Hi everyone I hope you can answer this for me.....
I'm trying wiegh****chers now for 3 weeks... the first week I lost 6 lbs....
second week I didnt lose...or gain but I kept following it as best as I can..
I dont understand the point system...
3rd week I gained 2 lbs...urrrrrgggghhhh...
I think I was about the 20 pt area.... infact there was some few pts for a treat today... but I'm worried I'm going to gain lol.... I am paying from week to week since all at once is a lil steep for me right now...is there something online that converts automaticlly calories to the point system at all?.....I applaud all those that are doing ok on it... I tried doing it low carb... but the instructor said.. I need carbs first and fats last and the points have to be evenlly distrubutate across the board.... thats why I'm gaining she said..... I'm hopeing to find a link that coverts what I eat to thier point system and if that fails.... I'm going to quit and find a new lifestyle way of eating... thankyou for any info offerred to me...
hugs
Hello, I also am a WW. Check back to your book. I believe
you should be eating more points than you are. What did your
leader tell you, your points should be. I am at 32 points per day. I did try the core plan for one week. I am losing .6 per week. After
the 4th of July, I gained. We will go back this week, Its hard.
There is a website..mydailyplate.com...you can put in what you
eat and its a good place to track, it tracks calories, but start there.
They say if you follow the plan, you can lose 2 lbs a week. Its free.
Good Luck!!!
Hugs thankyou for your fast reply!!! I will look at that site and see if I can understand it them:)...I have looked in the back of my booklet and I guess only with time can I look at things and not second guess what they me...lol.. I know they said as exg...7-10 points for meat I know now its 1 point for every ounce... so I can eat 10 ounces a day ...dido on the hard part .. lolol but I guess things take time.. and your right I am eating to low.. I;m 240 but the said to eat the same as your goal wight.. which to me was 140.. and 20 is all I can eat.. thats what I understood anyway... I guess i have to wait till next sat to find what she ment.. sorry for my bad engli****'s my second language..
hugs again:))
No, that is totally wrong. Did you get book 1,
your points will go down, each 10 lbs you lose. You
must eat your points and you will lose. At 20 points
you are starving yourself, and your body goes into
survival mode. It will not let go of weight.
Here is the points calculator:
1. Female 2 points
Male 8 points
Nursing Mom 12 points _____points
2. How old you are????
17 - 26 4 points
27-37 3 points
38 - 47 2 points
48 - 58 1 point
over 58 0 points __________
3. What do you weigh?? Enter first 2 digits of your
weight. 200 = 20 points. etc
4. How Tall are you???
Under 5'1 0
5'1 - 5'10 1 point
over 5' 10 2 points
5. On most day how doyou spend your day??
sitting 0
Mainly standing 2
Walking most of the day 4
Physical work...nurse, construction...6
Total your points. __________
this is how to calculate your points, your points
will go down as you lose, each time you reach say
190 = 19...add them up again...1 less point.
I hope this helps you....the information you were
given is totally wrong. Buffy

Good, you figured out the right amount of points! LOL....that is key. WW has an online manager that is pretty neat, albeit slow. It is still beta, not exactly as modern as it can be, so slow and kind of irritating to use. But ask about it.
For me, it was cheaper and more useful to be able to see all my past weeks' progress and stalls.
Thanks Neeceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! lol
I figured I'd write dow the food I want...... in calorie forms then do it in WW point form... this way I can see what it comes out to in WW system.. I think I'd have better control doing it that way and see how it works. ty so much for posting:) hugss
god bless

I too started WW. I am so glad you finally got the right amount of points. I knew you were too low and hoped by the time I finished reading someone had gotten it straight for you.
I started almost 3 weeks ago and I am having troubles staying on the program at night. You wouldn't think I would have a problem as I am allowed 39 points, plus the additional 35 per week points. The morning and afternoon are fine but come after dinner I keep blowing it. The first week I lost only 1.5 pounds. I didn't even go the second week as I blew it so badly. This Thursday will be the 3rd week and I can't go as I have a Dr appt at that time and in the afternoon I have to go to the hospital for 3 shots for my back, plus I wasn't on program again. I paid for the 6 week plan when I joined and look at what I have not done and I am half way through. Just wasted money, I am so bad.
It seems like I know I want the WLS and I am afraid I will not be able to eat these foods I love so much so I am out of control. I know what I must do but my brain is not listening. I need a good swift kick in this fat A$$ of mine. Perhaps all three of us can be buddies and help each other out. What do you thnk Ladies. ANy suggestions for getting my brain in gear.

Well Ladies, I went to my meeting tonight and I lost
weight!!!! 1.8 lbs, we have been going to WW since
March. I have lost 14.8 lbs. Woo hoo. I even had a
Birthday Celebration today, I ate what I wanted. I
talked to my WW Leader about have VSG, and she
says she will help me, I can stay with WW, it is a lifetime
change of eating habits. I am considering surgery
for November. Taking my time, it is a big decision.
We had a patient who had a lap band, they had to
open him up and remove it, he had a bowel obstruction
and scare tissue strangulating the band wires. It is
not for me, too dangerous. Hang in There.
