What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud?
No sample eating. Went to Aldi's which is SUPPOSED to be discount shopping but still leaves me wondering sometimes but I can tell ya today I got plums, nectarines and peaches for 19 cents a piece and bought like crazy cuz when Aldi's puts fruit on sale, it is because it is ripe and they don't want to lose money on bad produce next week. Also, got grapes for $1.99 for a 3# container.
Went to another store for meat because they have a huge variety with weekly 5 for $19.99 specials and the meat is really good quality. Of course, it probably helps that my cousin is the butcher, too.
So, for a family of 5, I spend about $150 a week.
Weather has passed thank the Lord but we are literally drowned out there. Water, water everywhere.

I am proud that I got up and walked for an hour today in Burbank...beautiful downtown Burbank. Went down for an overnight stay - bidness.
I am proud that I did not get a ticket coming home - 80 mph
I am proud that I did eat wonderful big city food:
a. East Indian food to freakin die for today: 1/2 large chapati (garlic and cilantro infused), 1 chicken-potato savory thing in bread + 2 ounces chicken in red curry + 1 bite lamb in spinach + 1 lentil/chick pea/cauli/potato baked thing like mu shu.
b. Tapas last night: 2 melt in your mouth ribs + 1/2 flatbread + cilantro aoli + 2 yucca croquettes + 2 pork empanadas, like 4 total bites. Ok, ok, 4 big glasses of sangria. ok?
I am proud that I ate moderate portions.
Gawd, Mary, the weather channel always lies...grow up already! LOL.....
