anyone take this

       My doctor months ago  gave me prescription topamax for my migraines and she also told me it is going for weight loss.. i used it.. and it controlled my migraines and it also worked on my weight control.. I losted a total of 37 lbs.. but the side affect for me was memory loss .. So I had to stop taking it.. I had some left so I started taking it the other day .. and I am on day 2 of it and it is beginning to work as a appetitie suppressant again.. Now I found out also I can take another drug with it to control the memory loss I cant remember what the name of it is but Im going to look it up and go to my doctor and see if they can give it to me with the topamax.. and see how it works.. Just wanted everyone to know.. Maybe this would help someone.. rhonda

I too took Topamax for my migraines a while back (or as I liked to call it...Dopeamax).  It really worked good...but the side effects were not good for me.  The memory loss for one.  I would forget things that I normally would never forget.  Also, the tingling in my toes and fingers was driving me crazy.  Good thing was that Diet Coke tasted nasty to me!  It did supress my appetite (or was that me being forgetful and forgetting to eat...LOL!!)

The kids thought it was pretty funny how forgetful and goofy I was on it.  So no more for me! :(
