I FINALLY ordered me my omron pedometer.  I know, not that exciting, but it's something I've been wanting for years but just seem to always put it off.  Last week I finally caved in and ordered me the one that has program software to go with it.  I just set it up to my length of stride, now I just got to try it out! :)  So far it's on me, but I'm sitting on my butt at the computer.haha  Go figure eh? hehe It's so quiet in here.

You have to stand and march in place now while at the computer!!   Hope it's the impetus you need to get moving.....I bought one (just a cheapie), saw how few steps I took in a day and haven't used it since.   Happy walking, Holly!!

I was thinking the same thing.  I bet on an average day I don't get many steps at all.  I'll probably try it and see.  I'm also curious how much walking I do on a busy day of errands.  I usually get home and I'm beat.  I'm a big time shopper so I can make it an eight to ten hour day easily. Now this is pathetic, I just went on my bike for a half an hour, with an intermission phone call from hubby and it was just a little over 2000 steps.  And here you suppose to get 10,000!  It might be easier than we think, I'm curious to see how it all works out to be.  Today I'm thinking maybe 4000-5000, we will see!

Hi Hol...I think you will have fun with your pedometer! It is very intersting to see how we do. And don't be weirded out by not getting to 10K...geesh you have to start somewhere! For my stride and speed, that is about 80 minutes of walking (not counting all of the life stuff we do like going to the store).  Not all of us have that kind of time, either.  Give us reports!

aww I feel like we are officially sisters, my sisters call me Hol. haha  Yea, I'm gonna have fun playin' with it for a while.  I've been wanting it for to long not too.  I kept waiting for someone to buy it for me for my birthday or Christmas.  Guess I have a hard time buying things for myself.  Usually I aim for the bigger toys and work on getting those. :)  Oh forgot to mention to everyone....hubby got a promotion!!!! YAYYYY!!!!!  He's now a Network Engineer.  The company he works for called him in for an interview last week.  He didn't even know it was available.  For some reason they didn't post this position internally.  But he got it!!  He's so excited.  He started it today.  Now if I can just land a friggin job!

You will! Just keep applying. Congrats to you guys..you need a break! Your announcement made me think about a paranormal thing that happened to my DH while he was traveling to Montana to see his mom.   He was stopped in Elko, Nevada (BF Noplace) and he walked into a Wendy's.  This wizened up old man, looked to be about 75 pounds, all white bearded, crazy as a ****house rat, points right at my DH and says, "Stationary Engineer!". Which is exactly what my DH's title is at his work!  Not many people have even heard that specific term!  It was creepy that the guy said it outright.  Brad looked at him and talked to him to make sure he was not some old friend from the past, but they had never met before.  isn't that Twilight Zone????

Wow, that is bizarre.  I wonder if he really did know the guy.  I haven't even heard of that title before either.  But this guy just got it on a whim?  That's freaky.
