What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud?

Happy Hat I hope everybody had a glorious Independence Day! I'm proud to say that today I walked my three miles "almost" at my old power walking speed. Yes! I got tired of that snails pace and just pushed on through.  I also did fifty half squats and kicks, although I tried a sidekick and that kicked me back!  I'm getting back slowly, but at least I'm getting back. Mary: Glad you're getting back to your routine!  It took me much longer. I worked out w/my trainer @ 5:30am this morning and then did 3 miles after that AND took RoseBud for a walk.  I guess you could say I might have overdone it just a bit but we've got a contest coming up and a girl's gotta train.   I also resisted coffee toffee time ice cream and had nonfat, no sugar added frozen yogurt instead. It's a daily struggle but one I'm willing to fight. Kimmie

Bow Down Before You Girl, you done spent your whole vacation working your butt off...literally!  But that's fine cuz my money's on you for the elliptical contest.   Shock 5 Don't tell Russ I said that.  Hey, did the blonde ever find out what an ellitptical is? Now listen here, I don't function in the morning, so when I'm at your house, the closest I'll be doing to working out in the morning is handing you a cup of coffee when you get home from the gym!  Five thirty in the morning, indeed. Annoyed And Disappointed  Mary

I had a dull and boring independence day.. but keeping with the spirit of the holiday.. I microwaved a couple of hot dogs at different times today and ate 'em. I feel like I overate today, and worked out.. hmm... 45 min. warm up, 50 min weight training then another 45 cardio. I did NOTHING to be proud of.. didn't even clean this stinkin' house. (thinking about all the food I ate).. a total of: 3 stea**** 3 whole eggs and 2 egg whites about 1/4 cup of shredded cheese 2 hot dogs a spoonful of cream cheese eating too much be not proud!

Excuse me Missy, I know that you like to eat like a little teeny tiny bird, and you may feel that you ate too much for YOU, but you kicked butt at the gym, woman...so be PROUD of that damnit! For some of the ladies here, they would have passed out from hunger on what you ate and then passed out again from doing your workout, so you should be proud of what you are capable of doing and that you get up off of your bum and get r done.  I'll shut up now, but don't even get me started on not cleaning! Mary P.S.  OK, would it kill you to take a guilt FREE day off???

I am proud that I was smart enough to keep my daughter's away from my stepdaughter's house today. They STILL have head lice and she has done nothing more to try and rid them of them! GRRRR!!! Why are some people so damn lazy when it comes to things like this. It's not an embarrassment to have them. It's an embarrassment to do nothing about them. Again, GRRRRRRRR!!!! I am proud that my 14 yr old niece noticed that I as she put it "am disappearing." I was so flabbergasted that she was SHOCKED to notice I had lost so much weight. She told I used to be "10 times bigger than I am now" LOL such a way with words LOL My sister thought my husband pulled up with another woman on the back of his motorcycle today. She said she didn't recognize me because my face is changing so much and I have been pulling my hair back which I have hardly ever done in my life.  It was truly a happy 4th indeed.  Beth

I'm proud of myself for being a good mom today.  But on the other hand I'm proud of myself I'm realizing I'm exhausted from it.  Today I took them to see Han**** then came home and cooked them dinner, then my sister called and wanted me to go out with her (she wanted someone to talk too) so I went out and ate, then came home to a messy kitchen (no one cleaned it, no food was put away...zippo).  I cleaned up a little and then zipped out of here like a bat out of hell to catch the fire works.  All to end up having a whiny eight year old hungry wanting food (after she just ate), and causing us all misery.  Then on the way home I saved our lives two times from dh crashing our car in traffic.  Ahhh, it's one twenty in the morning and I'm finally sitting down for "myself" today.  And what I don't feel good for myself is......I ate crappy in the middle of all of this.

Well I'm proud that you made it out of the holiday ALIVE!  We need to figure out some kind of way for you to live through all of this stress and still do the right thing for your health.  I'm thinking. Thinking I'm going to have to get back to you on this one.  What do you think? Mary

Well, it's 7AM on 7/5 and my son and his wife and my baby just pulled out of the driveway for KY.  I AM GONNA MISS THAT BABY SO!!!!!  We had such a great week and it went by all too fast.  Had a HUGE family picnic yesterday....my family, my DIL family, my ex and his family and I cooked and cooked and cooked and cleaned and cleaned and cleaned and a good time was had by all.  Weather was perfect....79, gentle breeze and everyone showed up and oohed and ahhed over the baby and had a good time.  Great day!!! I didn't really count any points this week or watch what I ate too much, had a taste of everything but didn't go whole hog over anything and managed to only gain 2 lb!!  I'm very proud of that.....could have been 10 knowing me.  Back on the straight and narrow again here and determined to get back to the Y on Monday and get started wholeheartedly on this exercise program. I'm missing my baby already!!
