Can long term sbeach diet be bad??
What do you eat for vegetables.. if any? I do carbs as close to zero as possible... and I will say that it hasn't been without it's pitfalls... I can only say what has happened to me. We're all different.. so I can't say what, if any, detriment you will suffer from doing something like this long term. I'll begin carbing up in about 30 lbs.. but not with pasta or breads.. no flour... nothing processed. I'm going to increase intake of veggies. So far, the only ill effects I've suffered is with my digestive system.. and by that I mean constipation. There are ways to combat this.. and eating veggies (low starch.. dark green) is probably one of the best ways. Eating broccoli and zuchinni and green peppers has not interfered with my weight loss. Right now I'm down about 115 lbs from my worst weight.... that's from about the middle of September to now. The only reason why I lost anything in September is because after gaining on NutriSystem, I actually started starving myself...now THAT was discomfort. I've been eating like this (carbs as close to zero as possible) since October 1. I think that if you have a significant amount of weight to lose, you have to weigh the pros and cons. ... the ill effects you suffer by cutting carbs vs the ill effects you suffer from carrying around a massive amount of weight. I can tell you first hand that the quality of my life has improved greatly.. as for the quantity.. I can't say, but I will tell you that my blood sugar is now normal (from an uncontrolled type II), the pain I used to have in my upper right region (it was guessed that it was gall bladder) is gone. I'm about to get my kidneys checked again... (no pain in a couple of months). Although I stil suffer from disturbed sleep .. insomnia... it's not because I can't lay down like it used to be. I couldn't walk 20 feet last July.... today I'll be at the gym from about 2:30 to 6:00pm.. doing 3 miles on the treadmill, 3 miles on the eliptical, an hour of weight training, then more cardio when I'm done. That's quality to me. Talk to your doctor... are your kidneys in good shape? If so, in my VERY HUMBLE, non medical opinion, I don't think your kidneys should have a problem with the protein. Good luck to you Lori
