What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud?
I am seven weeks out today from my inner thigh lift surgery and started walking today...yay, three miles done! Now mind you, they were little old lady shuffle miles and I didn't break any speed records, but I got r done.
And then I cleaned my big patio after it suffering under the rule of 'Don't Care Jones' aka, my DH. At least my plants were glad to see me if the spiders weren't. Sheesh, the way they've taken over, you'd think they'd paid the taxes on this joint.

Geesh, I mention the non op board ONE time and they put the posse' out after me! I've been hanging over here cuz I was off of Atkins for six weeks and now I'm going back to the real world. I like it here cuz these peeps know how to rock them some low carb!
You ought to come and share some of your wisdom on non op weight loss because you are the greatest success story I've ever seen. Well, you and Em. But she's in seclusion right now, so you need to fill in for her.
Now about that swelling. My legs are swollen, but no where near as bad as some of the others, so Sunday, I'm gonna pu**** a little harder. It felt so good to do something physical!
Feel free to come back and visit and impart your knowledge,
Mary

Don't worry, I'm a harmless stalker. Wisdom? I'm not sure I have much of that but I'm happy to offer my experience and suggestions. The BIGGEST key to my losing weight and keeping it off is the weight training I do. Building muscle enables us to burn calories while sitting and doing nothing! My other "secret" is simple (simple concept but HARD to do) - discipline. I am very disciplined about my food and exercise and frankly, I like being normal-sized more than I like eating too much. Glad to hear you're gettin' back to normal. It took me MUCH longer than you. Kimmie
Awwe Neecee...it's more like little love taps! But what I have noticed about the successful people that I know is that they reached that point where a number on a scale became more important than what they were putting in their mouths.
And trust me, you don't want Kim slapping you around. When that girl works out, it's intense!

I got my mom to take the long way around her house to sit out back. That was a feat in itself.
Gave my dad a nice diabetic treat on a hot summer day. SF ice cream, splenda swtnd berry mix and sf coolwhip. I thought he would enjoy it since he is convinced that his newly diagnosed diabetes mean no ice creal ever. I had to explain moderation and sf. He seemed to enjoy it.
Got the weekly grocery shopping done. Got the girls motivated on helping with the house even if they didn't want to.
Got half the matts from the winter cut off the dog. Finish the rest later this weekend.
Yesterday, I was actually able to start the fire and cook on the charcoal grill all by myself for the first time. Usually, I get it started but can't make it hot enough to cook squat.
My scale is reading 316 and my scale is always one pound lighter than TOPS but it is still down one from last night. So 317!!! Only 18 pounds more to go till I reach twoterville. I'm convinced it is all water weight since it has came off so fast but I still won't argue. BTW, I was best loser of the week a the month last night...4.5 for the week and 6.25 for the month.
Hubby is coming home early tonight. I can't wait. I miss him. 10hrs a day work, 2hrs commute and 8 hrs sleep doesn't leave much personal time, ya know? 4hrs maybe.
So I hope all of you have a WONDERFUL weekend!!!
