You go Jerri!!!!!!!!!!  Score one for the women!!!!!!!!!!!!  I wonder how much success Chris is having on his plan??? Well....i'm off to the kitchen for breakfast ---Day one.  I'm NOT doing the beef/egg thing (sounds disgusting) but i will have scrambled eggs (one whole, 2 white) and turkey sausage.  I know...It's a little late for breakfast, but i am a teacher and off summers, so i sleep in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS.  I realize i stated that i was starting yesterday, but I was up all night the night before sick as a dog!!!  Didn't think i should start a new diet like this dehydrated.  I'm hoping to be on here in the next few days with great success to report like you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, I SHOLD GET MY BOOK TODAY.  IF YOU GO TO AMAZON AND PICK THE ONE THAT SAYS "SHIPS TODAY", THEY HAVE COPIES.

chellelynn3, are you still doing this plan?  Please update us. I am on Day 5 of Week 1.  After a one-day plateau, I have lost another 1-1/2 lbs.  So, I have lost 4-1/2 lbs in four days.  I feel great.  I'm not hungry.  This is unbelievable for me.  My body usually hangs on to body fat like a life raft! I went to a home jewelry show last night, and I was still a good girl.  I had a couple slices of cheese but no crackers.  I even helped myself to the vegetable tray (no dip).  I don't usually even glance at the vegetable tray.  When you are offered wine, if you say "Oh, can I start with a nice glass of ice water first, please; I'm really thirsty."  No one questions you on that and, usually, they don't notice if you never do get to the wine.  Of course, after the first week, I guess you are able to have a little dry white or dry red wine.

Good Morning all. Just an update... I an going to start day one again on Saturday.  I have nothing planned for Monday the 3rd day so I can stay home just in case the same thing happends again.  But I plan to add a few more of the free veggies  to up a few carbs.  I think I crashed because I had too few carbs.  Any way that is the plan.  I have ordered the book but am using the magazine to get started.  I like the turkey sausage idea.  I asume any lean protine will be ok.  What is the progress on everyone else.  Is anyone exercising with week one?   Connie

Hi everyone, I hope you don't mind me joining in with you. I am new here but have been reading your posts to catch up. I am on day 4 of the first week and am still waiting to receive my book (anyday now). I am a type 2 diabetic, so I am hoping for a balance of my sugar along with weight loss. Connie, I have noticed from when I did low carb before that if I did not eat enough vegies or drink enough water I would pass out. Remember that the low carb days it is like wringing out a sponge. When we deplete the carbs, it causes water loss and it can cause dehydration if we don't drink enough water. Be sure to drink lots of fresh water and eat your vegies. Deb

Connie -- Ditto for the drinking lots of water thing.  I made sure yesterday (my first day) to drink lots of water and i felt fine.  I actually started feeling very "cleansed"...It may be all in my head.  Turkey sausage is actually very good, and I recommend the Jimmy Dean brand in the red box.  It has 60% less fat than regular sausage.  I also mixed baby spinach in with my lettuce for my salads.  I have used flax oil in my shakes for a while now, but i did use it on my salad like the magazine said, but i didn't care for the taste.  I ended up using 5 sprays of my asian sesame dressing (the kind in the spray bottles that have trace calories and 0 fat/carbs).  It was good!!!!!!!!!!!  I can't use whey protein in shakes b/c i'm lactose intolerant, but i have shake powder from Diet Center (which i did before) and it was really good with the coffee like her recipe in the magazine. I weighed in this morning --------------->  3 pounds people!!!   Oh Connie, in regards to the exercise, i am actually doing some light walking 3-4 times a wee****il i get her book to see what she has to say about it.  I have some videos, and one of those "Red" chairs....I would like to read her book and see how she outlines exercise.  In the magazine she mentions she likes short bouts of exercise vs. long bouts.... My book should be here today or tomorrow.  Bye for now peeps!!!!!!  Keep on kicking it with our "boots"  :)

Hi guys~ well the only week I really stuck to was the first week the carb deplete week, once I started on the macro pattern I did not do that well, I am still trying, but I have gone off the plan a couple of times now, I noticed that every time I did a carb down day I would feel really down, both physically and mentally, does anyone else experience this of a carb down day, as for connie, have you ever been checked for Hypoglycemia? I know that the carb deplete week really does a number on your blood sugar, sounds almost like you had a hypoglycemia attack, which runs in my family (my dad has it) so im wondering if that is why I feel the way I do when I do a carb down day, honestly I have gained some weight back, but am still down 7 lbs since I started the program. I get very discouraged with this whole yo-yo thing which im sure you can all relate to! good luck to you all of you, I pray you all keep the ball rolling and keep on your path to better health! Don't get discouraged!  Weight fluctuating is normal.  As a matter of fact, it's supposed to fluctuate as the glycogen in your body fluctuates.  After a little while, you get used to the low carb days, it's only twice a week.  And, the low carb means HIGH CARB the next day!  If you feel hungry, eat more often (protein).  I've always loved-loved-loved my carbs and and am finding that a low carb day is fine.  Luckily I love my oatmeal.  Try it with a little sugar free syrup.  The turkey sausage on the market is kind of high in sodium and preservatives.  I made my own by buying the ground turkey breast and adding some seasonings (fennel seeds, crushed red pepper, black pepper, sage and a little salt) and shredded zucchini (for moisture) and egg beaters as a binder.  You can put whatever seasonings that you like.  Just be careful to not overcook.  I'm not going to lie, I have been known to buy it.

Good Friday morning everyone. I am on day 5 and still going strong. I have lost 3.5 pounds so far and my sugar is balancing out nicely. I have typed up a quick glance copy of wek two's plan to pin up on my fridge for easier planning. This plan makes so much sense to me because when I did Atkins and would cheat (when I couldn't take the low carb anymore) , I would be shocked to see I always lost after a cheat day. Deb

Well, this is the first time I have ever tried a blog like this and I think it may be just what I need to find the support for starting the program.  I too have started Wendy's plan.  This is day two for me.  So far, so good.  I have more than 100 pounds to lose, so I hope this is where it all begins.  I actually have been going to the gym regulary  (5 time a week) for the last 18 months.  I feel like I have converted a lot of body fat into muscle, but the weight loss hasn't accompanied my journey to this point.  I did originally lose around 30 pounds, which I proceeded to gain much of it back.  It is frustrating, but I am not willing to give up.  Like many of you, this program spoke to me.  I am hoping it is exactly what I need to be successful in my weight loss journey.  The support I will find here will probably prove most helpful as well.  I have ordered the book online, unfortunately that was 3 days ago and it is still "processing"  I am a bit frustrated with that, because I have ready alot about the first 3 days...I am basically eating the meals outlined in the book and doing the exact same thing that I did yesterday.  I am a bit concerned that I am not doing it correctly.  Would any of you who already have the book in hand mind just giving an outline, so I can be sure I am doing okay?  I truly look forward to communicating with all of you as we embark upon this journey together. :-)

I understand your frustration with the book order thing.  I paid extra for quick shipping, and i get this email today that said "The book you ordered is in stock, but has been misplaced in our LARGE warehouse....We have looked but can't find it.  We will be getting a second shipping from the publisher in the next few days, and we will mail your book when they come in."  I'm thinking -- you lied about having it in stock, and two -- do i get a shipping refund???  AAAGGGHHHH!!!!   i need to read the book so I can branch out on what i'm eating!  I'm on day 3 now, and down 3 1/2 pounds.  I was a little frustrated to loose 3 pounds the first day, but only a 1/2 pound day 2.   Interested to see what happens on the scale tomorrow.  I've resigned to the fact that i won't get into the outfit i planned to wear to a wedding tomorrow, but I've made a suitable 2nd choice.   Talk to you all soon!!!
