I also just saw this diet in First Magazine and it sounds interesting.  But there's not enough information.  There are only 3 weeks listed.  Are we supposed to repeat the weeks?  I would love to hear how exactly to follow this diet.  From what I read here, it seems like the carb deplete week only has to be done the 1st week - after that do we repeat weeks 2 & 3 over and over?  Appreciate any advice!

I'm not sure if anyone has answered your question yet or not but no we do not repeat those weeks, in the book there is weeks up to eight. For those not wanting to wait for the book, I downloaded an e-book of this from Diesel books. I am waiting for my hard copy because it is easier to highlight etc but in the meantime I couldn't wait another minute so I got the ebook which is exactly the same as the hard copy.

Hi all,  I too joined this forum to join in on the discussion on "Crack the fat code".  I found the First Magazine and thought " I think I can live with this."  I need to lose at least 100 lbs. I started the first week and got to the 3rd day and it really kicked my butt. I however did lose 4 lbs in only 2 and a half days.   I was not at home and I felt like the would took a tumbel,  I got sick and barely made it to the closest rest room before I totally crashed.  I had to call my hubby at home for help and a change of clothes.  I thought I did something wrong some how.  But reading here I saw that the 3rd day ( mine was yesterday) was very hard for most here.  I stopped,  and gave in and had orange juice ( at 27 carbs and 24 sugars) I just wanted to cry, it really hurt.  My husband said it was that or a trip to the ER.  I did not diet at all today.  Now I have to start all over!  AAKKKKK!   Did anyone get it that bad or did I eat too few carbs?  I would really love some answers here because I want to do this. I'm sorry that you had a rough time!  I'm diabetic but didn't have any of your problems.  If you need to, eat every 2 hours and make sure that you have a protein.

If you can send your blog to the website, Wendy could probably give you better guidance with this.

Connie -- do you mean you threw up?  I know the feeling you are talking about, like you will crash, but some other people on here said that they felt the same way on day 3, but day 4 they were totally fine.  I think we are so "gunked up" inside and we go to some other extreme, it really kicks our butt.  If i were you I would try again, but make sure you don't binge the few days before, and make sure you eat lots of lean protein and free veggies.  Once you get through the first week, you don't have to do it again!   Good Luck!!!

You need the book.  The recipe for the breakfast egg cheeseburger dish is incorrect in First Magazine.  Unfortunately, there are not many recipes in the book.  You have to kind of figure out what to eat by the foods she recommends.  Something made me pick up First Magazine the other day.  I never usually buy it.  Nothing works for me.  My nutritionist is stymied, my exercise coach is flummoxed.  But, I decided to try this plan. Even with a slip-up last night, I am down three pounds in two days. I am eating cottage cheese right now!  I have never eaten it in my life.  Guess what?  I LIKE the stuff!  I am also starting to like eggs a little bit.  I do like the breakfast dish.   I do feel a little light-headed, but I'm not feeling any draggier than usual and went for a nice walk this morning before work.

Hi, thanks for your help.  I can usr all I can get.  I did not throw up... I had volumous exploding direah, and cold wet dripping sweat.  I was soaked instantly.  and by crashed I mean I fell to the floor and could not get up.  There I am laying on the floor of the rest room in the Dairy Queen , ( the closest place available) and I thought I was dying.  I had done 15 days of South Beach when I saw the magazine.  I thought...  It looks alot the same just more refined.  Maybe I was already carb depleated?  Any way I am looking for the book.  What is the URL: for  Windy's web site?    If I get to do this again I am going to stay home on day 3!!!!!!!!!!!!       Connie

Sounds a lot like repackaged Atkins with a dash of South Beach with a twist of cycling.  This sounds a lot like what I do now.  I'm pretty sure it works well but I don't think I'll rush out to the store to buy a copy. It's not new news but I sure don't blame her for trying to get her hands on some the low-carb/cycling "lifestyle" cash.

Day Three for me.   I lost 1-1/2 lbs. the first day, 1-1/2 lbs. the second day, but I've lost nothing today!  Even so, this morning, I am enjoying something I thought I'd never be eating: an one-egg, two-egg-white omelette with lean ground beef, baby spinach and a sprinkling of melted mild cheddar.  I always wished I could just whip up an omelette, but a bad experience with eggs when I was five years old turned me completely against them.  It made it hard for me to get the protein I needed when eggs were out of the equation! The only side effects I've had so far is lethargy, the shakes and snapping at people once in a while (but, then, they deserved it! ) I'll keep trucking away at this, but, even if it doesn't work out totally for me, I have to thank Wendy for turning me on to eggs and cottage cheese!

I can see that you've examined the entire process and learned about what she's been teaching the last 10 years.
