I bought the book last week and read and re-read it before starting week one today. I followed Wendy's plan to the tee today, although I was very tired by the time I got home from work today. I ended up falling asleep on the couch at 5:30 and woke up around 7 pm. Cooked myself 4 ozs. of chicken breast and put that on top of a "cucumber salad" along with the mixture of olive oil and apple cider vinegar with a little Equal mixed in. It's not as bad as I thought it would be! I'm a die hard Hidden Valley Ranch Light dressing user, so I thought it would be a lot harder to use Wendy's combination.

Can't wait to see what tomorrow is like!

Looks like we started at the same time, was never hungry but sick of meat by the end of the day. I haven't heard from my friend who talked me into this but figure that's ok, I'm hooked to give it a try from everything I've read here and I know 3 people that are on it and very impressed with what they have accomplished. So have real-life example.
I'm an emotional eater, and can go the whole day without eating but late at night with a book. Look out! Some very bad habits are going to get broken with this diet. As you have read here your bad day is around 3 or4 so hang in there. My goal is to be at 150 by March. That would make me a size 8 and very happy! Hang in there Linda, by the way that is my name too!

Hi all,

I have been reading your conversations for 2 days now and decided it was time to chime in.

I had been trying to follow the Fat Loss 4 Idiots eating plan and was into day  6 of the 11 day regime when I spotted this plan on the cover of Woman's World.  I bought the mag and after reading about the plan I changed over to it.  I will probably not have an exreme weight loss but I think it will work for me in the long run.

I have tried them all this carb up/down program seems to be the most sensible.

I have a added to my favorites the www.lowcarbfriends website.  Check it out.  There are lots of menus, recipes and general information on low carb eating.

You two Lindas keep posting, please.

Hello Bette,

I joined the lowcarbfriends site too  for the same reason. I like more than one opinion. I woke up today feeling like I was run over by a truck. Everything hurts. This must be the bad day, the one where my body is looking for the fat. Since it's everywhere I know they will get to wittling me down soon. LOL!

I went out to eat with friends last night, wondering if I could do it. We go out a lot. I had a bowl of cucumbers and a glass of water. After trying their best to get me to order something, they left me alone and we had a good time. I made it through day 2.
I have a question are vitamins taken on this diet? If you get through week 8 could you do another round? Has anyone?

My friend did not start but I'm hoping my going on will inspire her to start and I'll help her when she does. I've got three friends that have had the surgery and they are all skinny now and keeping it off. A great example. since I only have about 60 pounds to lose it will be up to me. I'm ready. Linda how are you doing? See you all tomorrow.

Hello Everyone!

On day 4 and doing fine. Yesterday every now and then I had the shakes but drank cold water and felt better. At work I would just start sweating which was embarrassing but I just acted like I was hot. Other than that, no problem.

I talked my friend Phyllis into starting today so Good Luck! I also took home some candy my daughter asked for and spent the night giving myself pep talks to stay away from them. I am following this 1st week to the letter and just getting through each day as it comes.

I bought these containers I get up in the morning and fix them for the day. 5 for 5 meals. How are the rest of you doing? I hope no posts doesn't mean you didn't make it, but if so don't give up. As they get back up on the horse! I'm rooting for you all. Your my inspiration, I didn't give in because mainly didn't want to have to write of failure. See ya tomorrow!

Sorry that I didn't respond earlier. Today is my first day back to this site since I started week 1. I think that I've done pretty well. Today is day 6 and so far I've lost 5 lbs. That's good, but of course I wanted more! I'm not sick of the meat, which surprises me because I'm not a big meat eater. Probably the hardest thing has been eating breakfast. I usually would just grab a shake (not sure if I can use brand names here, but you know what I mean!) and drink it when I got to work. I had to start getting up a little earlier so that I could eat breakfast. I was re-reading the book last night to get ready to start week 2-4 on Monday. I want to make sure that I have everything that I need so that I don't resort back to old habits. I really want to succeed at this. My youngest graduates high school next May and I don't want to look like I presently do!!! Hope to hear how you're doing...Linda

Hi everyone, I joined this forum because I purchased Wendy Chants book and after reading it I really wanted to give it a try. I have thyroid disease and have a hard time losing weight. I am now on day 6 and am very happy with my results. I have lost 5 lbs so far. Although not as much as the book claims I could lose in the first week, I am still very pleased so far. As long as I can continue to lose at a steady pace I think I can hang in there. My goal is to lose 50 lbs.

Well day 6 of week one is over. I'm doing fine and can't wait till Monday when I'll weigh and see how I did. The fact that I'm not going crazy for chocolate and cokes has proved there is something to this diet because they were a daily requirment for me to be happy.

I've been to 2 birthday parties and have brought home cookies and candy for my daughter and haven't touched any of it. Now thinking about it is another thing. But not hungry at all so manage to tell myself get through these 8 weeks and see what you can do for yourself.

I'm worried about week two, just not sure what's good and I'm going to look at all and see what has the least calories and carbs so I don't gain. One day at a time ladies. Keep posting and don't let the food you love the most get the best of you save them for the special days coming up.

Hi everyone
I just started the program 4 days ago, after reading an article in Women's World.  I didn't find it too difficult to stick to during the day, but the evenings are horrible.  I love snacking on carbs at night.  So last night I had a handful of Sun Chips with Cream cheese.  I was so nauseated afterwards which was weird, but good incentive for not splurging again!  So does this mean I need to start week one all over again?
Thanks for any advice.

ok, I think you have to start over, I'm sorry but week 1 is strict and has to be followed to the letter. If you eat 5 times every three hours no way are you hungry. It cuts the cravings and that will help you. Everyone this post is old the new one is:
http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/low-carb-challenges/581172 -wendy-chant-code-crackers-week-oct-13th-08-a-16.html

I keep coming back here to keep up with the few who click on it. I'm starting week 2 and there are a few ladies who are starting week 1 tomorrow at the above link. Lots of people on here different weeks and all helping each other. I hope everyone is doing well. If you click on the recipes that are located at the top right when you first log on you will see lots of great ideas so you won't get bored. Make it through week 1 you'll be glad you did and we'll help you keep it working. Come over there so we can work together.
