Hello Everybody,

I read about this diet in First and thought it was interesting. I have tried everything. I am not a stranger to low carb so I hope that I can stick with this. I have ordered my book so I hope it comes soon. I guess I will follow the magazine and the great advice on this site until i get my book. The first 3 days are always the hardest for me so I am going to start on Friday so that I can deal with the hard days on the weekend at home and not at work. I am glad I found this site. Looking forward to being "LOSERS" with you guys.

Wow, I am so sorry to hear that some of you are really having serious issues.  I agree that you should at least run this by your doctor so see if you have something that might prevent you from being able to sustain such a drastic plan.  Maybe a few modifications will be necessary.  Just remember that even if you modify, you are still going to be making healthy choices.  If you feel good, you are more likely to continue.  I would   not be able to sustain anything longterm if I felt that bad.

Good luck to you both and I hope that you can find a balance between eating well AND FEELING WELL!!!

I just finished up week one and am still waiting for my book!!  I decided that I was going to stay on week one plan yesterday (which should have been the first day of my week two).  I am thinking maybe I will do this until Monday and get to the real plan from there.  It will truly depend on how I am feeling on a  daily basis.  Like I said in earlier posts, I am nervous about adding the carbs back, but I also need to learn to trust my body.

I ,too, put the scale away!!  I will weigh in once a week.  I lost 10 pounds on week one, so I was pretty pleased with that....let's see what week two will bring...

Take care everyone....Keep up all the great work!!!

I had a hard time on week one as far as dizziness etc.. but since I have been on the baseline days I am doing great. No more dizziness. I am on a carb down day today and so far so good. I think some people just can't handle the extreme of week one. Apparently our bodies are touchier than others. Anyway week two has been fantastic for me and I am looking forward to each day.

Thanks for the welcome. I ordered my book on 7/15 off EBay and I received my book yesterday. Brand new book. So I have started reading. it is a lot of science in the book but it does make since. It made me realized how the body is so smart that it adapts to everything we do. I have faith that I have finally found my WOE. I decided to start my carb depletion today because the first 3 days are the hardest for me when it comes to doing low carb.

I am new to the forum and the WOE.  I started reading the posts last week but I haven't started the carb deplete yet.  I saw the article in First and had a hard time getting the book.  I did order it on Sunday night and it was here by noon on Tuesday.  I am really glad I have the book because there is definitely information that will be helpful.

I am starting the carb deplete on Monday and I know I will need some help during the week.  I always struggle with reducing my carbs but hopefully I don't have a bad reaction to it.  I have done low carb before and I know the cravings will all be there during the week......even if I am not hungry.  I am looking forward to getting the weight off and this seems to be a way that will work for me.  I have over 100 pounds to lose so I am excited to see some weightloss.  We are going on vacation in a few weeks and I would like to have the first few weeks under my belt before trying to keep things under control while I am away.  We are going to be cooking a lot of our own food so it will be a big help as it is harder when eating in restaurants.  We also will be doing a lot of walking so I am hoping my energy level will be up by then.

I look forward to being an active member of this group.

Day 6 for me.  I'm doing fine.  I wasn't feeling too well last night and this morning.  Kinda sweaty this morning (which I really don't sweat unless I'm working out or something).  Started feeling better though.  Kinda messed up since I was out and about for several hours today and wasn't really able to eat, so I actually skipped 2 mini meals.  I know...that is bad.  I'll do better next time I have to be out like that.   I'll plan ahead and take things with me that will be "legal" for me to eat.

So I'm bad!!  I haven't put away my scale.  I weigh once a day early in the morning when I wake up.  So far.....I'm down about 8 pounds!!  YEAH!!  Thru the first couple of days I had some hunger...but I think that is mostly my head telling me it is my "normal" time to munch since that is what I normally do in the late evenings and such.  I've had to go against my brain a few times this week!  The first dinner was the worse when I was really thinking I needed bread or pasta to really fill me up.  I got over it though.  Night times when I want something sweet...I eat sugar free Jell-o.  I'm not sure if it is legal the first week....but it totally helps with the sweet cravings.

Well...time for dinner!  Talk to you soon!!  Everyone keep up the great work and share with us!!

I don't see why SF Jello would not be allowed the first week. 0carbs. The book do not tell about every food that is allowed. As for me, I am going to eat foods that are very low carb. Plus, I already brought my Jello and that stuff cost $2.90 for a six pack. I know it would be better cost wise to make it myself but I am lazy. I thought I was going to be able to start on Saturday but I got to thinking about all the food I will have to give up for now so I decided to start on Monday. Today I am going to make out my carb-depetion menu while I eat some roast, POTATOES AND CARROTS.
