What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud?

Hey everybody, I thought I would start posting this question on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  I think it's always a good idea to accentuate the positive to help us feel good about what we are actually getting right.  Yes!  For me today, I have a stomach virus and feel like I got ran over by a steam roller. Steamroller  Normally, this would be an excuse to cheat, but I am proud to say that I am sticking to my diet and haven't succumbed to the chicken noodle soup with all of those carbs!  I'm so proud. Wakka Wakka Mary

I so jealous!  I had surgery seven weeks ago and slow walking is the best I've done so far.  My elliptical needs to be dusted! Mary

Rushed getting out the door this morning (I spend 2 days/week with a friend of mine who has Alzheimer's) and didn't have quick things to grab on plan in the refrigerator.  Normally, probably would have used that as an excuse to grab something OFF plan.  Instead, took the time to count my points and make sure I had enough to eat with snacks and all so I wouldn't be scrounging through HER cupboards later. Stayed on track, within my points, all week so far.  Also tried a new light recipe from Rachael Ray's program today.....stuffed baked potato with broccoli and shredded LF cheddar (FF chicken broth for moisture when mixing)....yummy and my SO loved it too! And my heel is feeling SOOOO much better with this cortisone injection!  Good day!!

Yep, girl got a plan!  Hey what's wrong with your heel.  I'm assuming that if you had a cortisone injection, it's a heel spur.  Owwww! Mary

Yup...heel spur and it's been killing me for 2 months!  Had to wait 3 weeks to get into the podiatrist I wanted.  It hurt so bad, I never even felt my knee (also need total knee replacement) all this time.  today my pain was from my knee....so that's a GOOD thing!   LOL Sucks getting old (my weight is catching up with my age....bad combination)

Girl, I suffered with those stabbing heal spur pains in both of my feet.  I had to wear the ugliest shoes on the planet for SIX months.  Once I lost the first fifty pounds, the pain just went away on it's own.  I hope your weight comes off fast so you won't have to suffer as long as I did.  That hurts!!! I got off my butt this morning and did 15 minutes of a show on exercise channel when i sooo did not want to.

Then I capped it off with another 5-8 minutes of light weight work, ball crunches.  I went to music lessons.  I am proud to be learnng music and a challenging instrument.

Good for you for getting off of your butt when you had no ambition.  That is soooo hard. Hey, what kind of an instrument are you learning to play.   Thinking Hmmm, challenging?  For me, that's a kazoo! Mary
