Let's talk exercise.
Ypou guys have all had wonderful ideas. I guess I am just so used to it being structured excercise that I never thought about getting out there and cutting lose with them. I will have to try that this evening. Dad has class so it will just be me and the 8 kids. WOO HOO!!! And if I would get up when my alarm goes off, I may have time in the morning. I know it is a priority and I need to teach them, especially Jacob, the 9 year old, how important it is to get up and around!! thank you all for your, once again, wonderful advice.
I wish I could get up that early. I am so drained though. I did work out with the kids yesterday. The 4 year old wanted to help. So I used her to do bicep curls. She loved that. I also did crunches and stuff with the fatty baby. He is 7 months old and weighs almost 30 pounds. It is helping alot to do it with the kids!! Thanks guys for all the great advice!!
I watch Jon & Kate plus 8 - whoa. Um, you are getting plenty of exercise. If you need more, it would be for stress relief! Which would be completely allowable in my book. Just a matter of when????
When my TWO kids were under age 5, there was not consistent exercise going on to speak of. I will say that we did not own a car and walked to the park most days (like 2 miles round trip, kid slow). My kids were high energy and I used to think I might really kill them if I tried to manage them day after day in our little apartment! Insanity plea and all....so I tried to run 'em hard to get them to lay down for naps by getting outside many days.
Just do the best you can! It is food intake anyway that is of premium importance. Exercise is gravy.
EDIT: after reading posts, my DD and SIL have their two acitve boys run "time trials" - hey buddy, how fast can you run around the tree? They even have a stopwatch that does not keep real good time (wink wink) - oh sorry buddy, you did not beat your time! wanna try again?
