Another WOW moment!

I was able to buy a bathroom scale in a regular store that ACTUALLY weighs me. I didn't have to go online to find a duper capacity scale. I found one right on a local store shelf! I am elated!!! It has been YEARS since a regular bathroom scale accurately weighed me or would weigh me at all.

Awesome deal!!!  It is moments like that, even if it is just buying a scale, that make us feel victorious in our journey to lose the weight!!

Good for you, Beth!  Now you can become a slave to the scale like the rest of us....LOL!

Sherrie, I was already a slave to the scale except it was costing me gas money to run 5 minutes across town to the hospital to weigh there which I was doing once to twice a week. Cheaper to buy the scale in the long run especially when gas is $4 a gal.  I have also found that TOPS is making me a slave to the scale whether it intends to or not because I can't bear to go in there with a gain because it makes me feel let down. I love seeing it go down down down every week. The other thing I like about the scale is that I can catch my weight gains EARLY which I believe was a big part of my problem before with the mentality, "OH, it's only 5 pounds." Well, do I need to say that number tends to grow exponentially when ignored? So, now I don't take any gain lightly. I immediately act whether it is increasing fluid intake, decreasin portions or exercising. I evaluate the week or two leading up to the weight gain and try to tweak the areas I got lax in. It usually works. I think I am one who needs to be somewhat of a slave to the scale simply to keep me on my toes and paying attention which I have never really done before...Me thinks this is why I am where I am. Beth
