1 cup coffee with Sweet N Low
1 banana
20 oz. water
Lunch
Salad with assorted lettuces, walnuts, kidney beans, mushrooms, with lite Ranch salad dressing
Lentil soup with kidney beans added
Dried apricots
20 oz. water
Dinner (at Applebee's)
Two portobello mushroom sandwiches on whole wheat buns
Assorted cooked vegetables with marinara sauce
Fruit salad
Strawberry Lemonade
Have you noticed anything different about my food plan now? I have gone to a plant-based, whole grain diet, with no animal protein, and no dairy products. Yes, I am now vegetarian, and I recommend it for those who can follow it. I am reading a book called The China Study by T. Colin Campbell, who is a reknowned nutritionist, and who is studying how the diseases of the different Chinese reflects on what they eat. It's a fascinating book, and I find myself not wanting to eat any meat or dairy after reading it, so far.
