Jeans

About a week or so ago, I raided my daughter's closet and stole two pairs of pants out. Well, I was like WOOHOO! I fit in a smaller size until she came in and burst my bubble by saying those pants never fit the same as her other pants of the same size. Ok, so maybe I didn't go down in size...oh well. Keep trying. Well, last night I went to Wally World with my mom and girls and for ****s and giggles, I tried on a pair of Riders stretch jeans (not nearly as much give in them as the jeans I wear now, I must say.) Anyway, a month ago I could not get them done by at least 4-5 inches. Last night, although snug but not tight), I buttoned and zipped them  after a little readjusting of the belly fat (fun mental imagine, huh?) I was elated. I had to come out and show them. It felt sooooooooo good. I just wish my belly fat in front didn't look like the great divide behind the zipper area. Gross! Ok, so what size am I talking about you ask. 26! I started in a VERY stretchy 30/32 and they were snug. I am down 46 pounds and 4-6 inches!!!!!!! I love losing weight. I love how I feel right now. OH I know I am not skinny and I don't know when that label will fit or if it ever will BUT I feel good about what I am doing for me and to me. I also know I need these little WOW moments to boost my butt back into gear every now and then when I become complacent about what I am eating or how much I am exercising.  Silly how good a simple piece of material can make you feel and how that same piece of material can encourage you to keep trying. Material. Simple material.

That's Great!!!  I love it when the new sizes fit - even if they are snug - I always went ahead and bought them thinking - well they will fit next week even better!  Of course I shop at goodwill so it doesn't get too expensive that way! Keep going - you're doing awesome!

Always a good feeling to see those sizes going down and the clothes feeling looser and looser.  You are doing amazing, Beth....keep up the good work.  Motivation like that really helps!

Beth!!!!!!! YOU GO!!!!!!!!!!!!  Going from a 30/32 to a 26 is GREAT!! I bet that being a size smaller give you a lot of new options for clothing now.  Also, I had to LOL when I read that about fitting into a smaller size but your kiddo saying it was a "big" pant for that size. When I came over here to the UK I brought all 24 pants... BUT 2 pairs are "big" 24s 2 pairs of pants are "fit perfectly good" 24's and 2 pants that are "small" 24's. Plus size clothing can be ALL over the map, isn't it??

wOOt!  I think that is fantastic.  hey, when it comes down to it, there are literally only a couple three inches between sizes. It makes me wonder why I trip on it so much. Girl, i ain't skinny either. THAT is a relative term. You are skinnier than you were!

Beth I remember that too... my 'goal' clothing items was a dress.  Little by little it fit more and more.

Jeans... bahh... I can't even go there yet.  I know EXACTLY what you mean by the belly 'junk' in the front trunk! My excess skin was like that... it made jeans bulge in all the wrong places. I am still swelling up from my surgery so jeans are a while away yet.  I can't wait to get into a new pair- especially since I always hated jeans on me. Now finally get to have flat tummy jeans.  Took me 4 yearsto get there!

Style presumes that you are a person of interest, that the world is a place of interest, that life is worth making the effort for.
Don't be afraid that your life will end,

Beth & Em...me too.  I have a pretty sizeable panni right now from my cesaerans.  It ain't pretty. that is one body flaw that is hard to hide, but hey all we can do is make it smaller.
