UPDATE! - 14lbs to go!

I'd be curious how you know your BMR is burning more than you're taking in.  See, your BMR is the amount you need to take in, your body needs to just exist.  I explained what happens when you eat less than it (it can also slow weight loss, but you have yet to have that happen, thankfully).  If you're saying your metabolism due to activity is burning more than you take in, that's different and that's because your eating less than your BMR and exercising.  Unless you've had a dunk test and your BMR less than the # I noted, you are eating less than your body needs to just breathe.  That's a concern.  Many people don't realize that it is the cause for slow weight loss and regain.  When they know, they eat at BMR no matter what. You did say I shot you down and you say there's negativity surrounding my post, but do you understand that's perception?  You took it on an assault of your accomplishments when in my very words I gave you accolades for what you did.  In no way am I saying you didn't choose the diet that you felt was right for you, and this is not about that choice, this is just a fact regarding calories and BMR.  It's not said to point what you do or don't know or make you look bad.  It's just important information.  For all the weight I'd lost on diets, I didn't know it until this last year and I paid the price with regains.   Again, all this comes out of support.  Nough said.  PM me if you want. I hate to seem like an issue takes over a thread.

Jerz, do YOU understand that she felt "less than" based on your words?  Don't downplay and brush off how she feels. SHE gets to say how SHE feels and interprets your words.  Have a nice day.

I got it.  But her feelings were not about me they were about her misinterpretation.  I don't bru**** off, but I can't help a person when they're self esteem is so low that they take information and somehow it hits their self esteem. Have a nice day.

Your information-giving style is like a nail gun to the skull.  You not only tell her how to do it, but how she needs to feel. Read back over that thread and see that she tried to side step you initially, but you cannot let that impermeable ego of yours accept that she could have lost weight and then go on to keep it off without you.  And sorry is simply not in your vocabulary. This gal came here to share a pretty great progress. Not, as incredible as it may seem, get a dressed down green eyed spanking from you. Have a nice day.

Neecee, you and I just do not see this the same.  I have no jealousy that she lost the weight...am happy for her that she did!  I showed support by recognizing a potential problem and pointing it out.  I am not and will never be in the pat-pat crowd that thinks it's okay to not warn someone of a pothole ahead given their direction. I know hard work and I know it took a lot for her to get there. Why would I not share key info to help her stay there?  Why would I turn my back on her and encourage her to cause herself a problem? You still don't get it...this has nothing to do with ego and everything to do with information.

Great job!  I can't imagine what it would feel like to only have 14 lbs left till goal!  I'm sure you'll get there! Btw, I think you two should agree to disagree. :)

Yes, Chris, thank you! We should agree to disagree. I'm hoping that through eating healthy and the way I've been letting myself be treated to a latte or a small dessert every week which ups my caloric intake anyway...and I allow myself to indulge every now and then. I have 12lbs to go till I reach 100...I wanted to do so by my birthday.  I hope I can.

I'm sure you'll make it!   One treat a week eh?  That's what I've been doing though I haven't said I was going to allow myself to. :P It slows my loss down tremendously when I have sugar but whatever ya know.. At least I'm still losing.  Hopefully my doc will get my thyroid under control soon and it'll be a little easier to lose.
