measurements

do any of you keep measurements? I have started up a month ago when the scale was screwing with me. It did make me feel better - especially my waist.  When I weighed in at 180 like for two days, it stuck hard at 38" - only one freakin inch from my start weight of ~225. My goal is to be 35" or below (Dr. Oz recommendation for better health) i guess it will be the last to go - well, not before my lower gut area. Here's mine as of May1: Fattest part of my gut (lower belly):  43.5 waist:  right above belly button: 37.25 (DOWN 3/4 of an inch from one month ago!) bust:  43 hips - at pubis: 41 thigh - fattest part;  23.5 (down 1/2 inch) arm 3" above elbow:  11.25 neck:  14.75 calf:  16"

When I first started out I did measure.  Actually I didn't quite start measuring until 3 months after I started the weight loss.

I lost a ton of inches, somewhere in the vicinity of 122 inches.  I lost 40 inches in my legs alone and 37 inches between my waist and hips. I haven't measured in ages though.  I guess I may start doing it now that I am determined to take these last 30 pounds off. The numbers are smaller, that's all that matters.

This is a dreaded subject for me.  Guess it's just a reminder of how big I am.  I know when I lost some weight a few times before it was sort of neat seeing the end results.  Maybe I'll go get out my measuring tape and measure today and then HIDE it! ha

At the moment I am measuring my waist alot due to the up and downs of swelling.  It changes by 2" in one day! I am gradually seeing the lower # more and the upper # less.

The weird bit about my current body is that my hips are slimmer than... well than I can ever remember them being (yeah!) and my waist is almost as small as before I had children... but my bust... that is truely sad.  My bust is 35"- and that's being generous with the tape.

*SIGH*

Somewhere in the house are my original measurements before I started losing weight... so after I find them I will put up my before and after.

I am bored of that avatar already! I must be healing... I am making things to do to use up time! Still not up to 'life' in general yet.. but getting there.
