Yesterday I went to Rite-Aid to pick up my script that the doc called in because ya know I had an allergic reaction to the new stuff....eh. I get to the counter girl has the bag and goes, "Your insurance doesn't cover these anymore" I went WHAT!? You're telling me that last week they covered them but all of a sudden a week later they decide not to cover them!?  One of the ladies said most insurances are not paying for diet pills anymore...I was like OMG! I said ok well how much are they? She said 40 bucks. I went OMG! Ok give em to me! 40 BUCKS! MAN! My company tho that I work for is switching insurances again anyways....back to Humana wonder if they still cover them! lol. Oi. 40 dollars.... So people are totally noticing my weight change even on myspace....I have had many messages asking..."Are you losing weight!?" Im like yep! lol. But ok ta ta back to work....gosh I wish I could reply to all of the posts!!!!!!!!!! Hope everyone is doing well!!!!!

Even good insurance is lowering Rx coverage.  I have decent INS and I pay 50% copay.  I used to pay $10 for any Rx....  Lucky that $40 is not a lot of money.  I feel for folks whose Rx's are 100s/mo.

$40 per month or week? Gezzzzz I'd call your insurance company and submit an appeal to it. Can you start a healthy savings plan account at work? And call around to every single pharmacy and have them tell you the retail price. You'd be shocked at how some scripts are cheaper at other pharmacies.

Good luck with Humana...I can barely get them to pay for what's supposed to be covered!  In FL, they don't cover phen, but you can get them from WalMart or Sam's for around $25 for 30days.  There's a place called express scripts that gives serious discounts on 90day supplies of most rx drugs with a 90day script from your doc.

Ours, too, of course. Generic drugs are even going up, so for those who need the name brand durgs, fageddaboudit. My poor DH takes an assload of pills every day. scary, this has got hit the celing soon.

Phentermine is a generic. Call the Wally World pharmacy and see if it is covered under their $4 generics. Beth

In St. Louis, they have a plan at Walgreens where you pay a joining fee and you get a pretty good discount on a lot of drugs.  You might check that out.   Brenda
