Hi Guys

Hey if it all is correct, my ticker will be finally up and running! I put it in metric, but you get the drift right? I lost 10 kilograms during pregnancy and the rest thereafter these last few weeks.

My weigh in was today at 141,9 kilograms that is 312.2 pounds

my mini goal (the one to avoid WLS) is 135 by july first 297 pounds

My ultimate goal is 95 kilograms or 109 pounds (but hey, I might just keep going to get to onederland, even though that does not count here because we use metrics. 199 would be 90,5 kilograms. not a bad place to be if you come from 158) :-)

It is going VERY well and I will continue it this week. Big party on sunday so the whole week is dedicated to get moving, eat well and save points for this event

Love from Holland, going to bed now

Carina

PS Theehee, the ticker works!!! :-) Forgot to mention: the reward I have when I reach my ultimate goal: Erik and I will renew our vows on a cruise or in las vegas (complete with new dress and new ring, which will be way to big by then LOL) That's what the boat ticker is about.

Now I have to figure out a nice small reward for my mini goal. Although not having to go through WLS might be a reward in itself

I just have to know...... how did you lose weight while you were pregnant?? I am over weight, but wan to start ttc this year. I've been worried about weight gain on top of my current size. thanks for any info you can share. and congratz on all of your hard work!

Hi TBL

well it is generally not recommended to lsoe weight while pregnant. But because I am obese my doctor said it was OK. I did not do anything specific really. In every pregnancy I just get nauseus and my appetite is gone. I can eat way less. I guess it is like having a temporary WLS :-)

So I lose it big time (12-14 kilos) in the first trimester and usually gain 2 back very slowly in the 6 months there after.

If you want to get pregnant, do eat sensibly and maybe have a doctor prescribe you a diet to avoid prgnancy diabetes. That should control your eating so mucht that you do not gain much weight.  If you get pregnant being overweight, a lot of women do not gain. The ones who do gain VERY MUCH usually do it theirselves by eating for two....
