Is Surgery worth it? (long & only my opinion)
Hi. I'm Denise. I am kind of in the same boat. I started dieting a week and a half ago at 330. I have been down to 250 a few times over the past few years...Yep, I'm a yo you. After gaining back everything that I lost last year, I was really frustrated. A friend had RNY and has lost 103 lbs in 6 months. She looks awesome. I decided that it was something I wanted to do, but after frequenting the OH surgery boards, the risks just scare me alot. I'm a nurse too and I think that makes it even scarier. So, I am opting to diet and exercise again. This time, I'm working really hard on changing my way of thinking. When I want something because of head hunger and not actual hunger, I stop and ask myself...would you be able to have this if you had RNY? No.
Can I do it? I don't know. I guess time will tell. Surgery is not off the option list, but I sure would rather do it without it.
