Beginning to feel like a human again.... Sharing a Scale victory and NSV
I gotta tell ya... things are beginning to change for the better.
I got on the scale after the gym, and saw something I haven't seen in at least 14 years.... 218.8!
I'm stunned.
What's even better is that I CAN WEAR UNDERWEAR! Not just any underwear.. but the ones I like.. like the boy cut. I mean.. they make 'em to fit me now. I'm happy. I saw size XL on those things sitting in my drawer and I thought.. ok.. just for the heck of it.. try 'em on... and .. I'm wearing 'em.
Last night I was getting curious about what size I am. I was figuring an 18 in pants. My daughter brought out three pair of 16's for me to try on. I pulled 'em up not expecting ANYTHING.. seriously... I just wanted to see how much more I had to go. Her jaw dropped when I zipped and buttoned the one pair and I had room to spare. One other pair fit me, one was too small. I said "Jess.. check the size on these again.. they can't be a 16 (the ones that were loose). They were 16. In another 40 lbs I'm gonna be able to shop in the normal stores again. Hey.. is Foxmoore still in business?
The child said to me "Ma, I know you've been losing weight.. but I had no idea". yea.. neither did I. I was like.. un huh..and there's a lotta stuff in your closet I'm gonna wanna look at! Just the tuff stuff like from Hot Topic.. black shirts w/zippers.. pretty bland for Hot Topic, but right up my alley. (I can almost smell the leather in the air).
Ok.. for every up there's a down. My regular bras are way too big.. so I gotta stick with my sports bras for now. Yanno what... I don't even care. I've been fighting hard and if getting there means being a bonified member (if not the president) of the itty bitty ***** committee... then I'm there!
HA!
I only weigh at home and at the doctor's office. I monitor very closely for fluid fluctuations. My home scale is just fine.. perfect working order.. it's my kidneys that are the problem.. maybe I can toss them? LOL I always weigh within a pound or so at the doc's.
Considering I'm down nearly 100 lbs since July... I think it's dayem good progress.

100lb since July? OMG!! I joined here in December, so had no idea...I'm speechless (and that doesn't happen often).
I'm so happy for you, Lori. The exercise seems to really be working for you too....your spirit seems so much lighter (as well as your body). You certainly have been on a roller coaster and glad things are finally going your way. You've worked hard!
You're my new idol....LOL
