What did you eat today?

My body is the SAME WAY, Donna.  It gets old, but like you say, it is a process, and for sure, it takes vision to see it through. You are completely dead on - it is why many people drop off balanced eating plans - they do not see quick enough results.  I think it finally sunk in for me watching the WLS phenomenon around me with my friends at work. I watched them eating the Atkins way (basically) and still not lose fantastic amounts of weight (4# a month, if that). It comes off slowly, for some people.  I'm one of them. It is what it is for many of us. I backed off myself a long time ago - my body can play hard and simply does not need much food. Okay. One friend has landed on her set point weight three years out - she eats the same as she did when newly post op, and is stuck on stop at about 170 ish. She is not thin by any chart or standard, but a damn sight better off than she was at 5 foot and well over 300#. She works out and may drop 5# doing so...stops working out for a period, gains back the 5#.  Ay yi yi.

Saturday - not the way I should do it, but coulda been worse. 2 egg omelet with some very salty sausage and tons of veggies (spinach, mushrooms, red bell, onion) taste of chicken salad I made for the funeral, taste of banana bread I made. nothing the rest of the morning - went shopping with DH, did housework, vacuumed and washed my cars. That was summarily my exercise, too.  nothing until I came home from funeral for an old friend at 4:45.   1 svg flax chips, salsa 4 beers over the evening leftover lentil soup 2 cups-ish, 2 pieces buttered 12 grain bread, dish of cukes in vinegar  2 pieces banana bread half loaf pan sized slices with  butter spaced out between supper and dessert 1/2 **** cream later around 9:30 pm

That banana bread sounds like heaven right about now!!  Wonder if there's a recipe for that without the bananas, sugar or flour?  LOL
