I know what you mean.. I feel guilty if I miss a work out.. and I feel guilty about EVERYTHING so who needs the added guilt...  How much further away can you park?  Um....  as far as your legs will allow!  I know you park that far.....  but routine is a necessity when it comes to muscles.  They wanna be worked every day.. and although your biceps can take a break, your heart is one muscle that NEVER takes a break.. lol  That sucker has to be conditioned to carry you for a lot of years, babycakes! Yanno.. the word "routine" can be positive as well.  A "routine" can be fun too!  I like the idea of mountain biking and if you can make that a "routine", you only stand to benefit from it.  My trainer does that for fun too and he boasts a resting heart rate of 62 for his efforts.  That bike is his bestest friend!  lol When you're good and ready, you'll get into something.. and when doing something becomes a habit it ends up BEING a routine, a positive thing.. and not just being "routine"... a boring thing.

Ok.. I'll leave you alone about it... FOR NOW!

Mountain biking sounds great.. I wish I could do that.

Hey, she can't argue with results! I can understand where she comes from...sometimes if a plan is too severe, it blows up eventually - that is her only point, i'm sure. You do what works...or what you feel like doing, you know, like always!  LOL As far as formal exercise goes, it is really the same argument there...if it is too regimented and stilted and forced, again, it has a way of making rebels out of the nicest people! Gyms are for times when weather is an issue - my opinion only! I completely agree that gyms can perhaps augment a good base exercise plan, but for most people, it can't be all of it. Just look around - very few people are still there after january every year!  duh!  i loved my gym, loved several gyms over the years. But Life had a way of juxtaposing my schedule - some years when single i had to work 12 hours a day, for example. I rode my bike to my second job in those times & did sit ups in front of the tv.  When DH and I moved here to this house, all gyms are about a 20 minute drive...so do the math...a 40 minute round trip when i could be making the most of that precious time i do not have to blow???? That is just to arrive - that is not the work out, the shower, the packing my bag for the shower, blah blah blah. My dream life might include a gym routine - one where I worked a few hours a week and somebody else cleaned my house! Even then, we're talking about me *rathering* kayaks in gorgeous pristine lakes, hiking on volcanic peaks, biking around the country....all preferable over a stinky sweaty MRSA gym! RU kiddin me?  who would not choose that kind of activity????

You are doing AWESOME! 12 pounds! What a great month you've had!  I think you are doing things responsibly. I think when you go into things with a PLAN... you don;t fail as often. I know when I first started WW it was like I was on some natural high- and when I *CHOSE* to step off for a treat... I researched ahead of time as to WHAT the treat was. I knew what points I'd need to have the treat- I knew AHEAD. And it is OKAY! WTG!!!!!  I'm so proud of you!!!
