Awesome is a good word! Chris, I will caution you about the cheats. It's not that one has to live rigidly. Just know that a) it can throw your body for a loop (such as a 5lb weight gain) or b) for some people, giving in for one brief moments reopens the door to cravings and additional bad habits. Hey, I did with Easter dinner ; / and only today am I truly back on board. Small cheats didn't cost me in the long run, but for some it becomes a bender because their body goes nuts. So, jus****ch yourself. If it becomes a trigger, put down the butterfinger thingee.... It's not that cheating is bad, it's about what happens to you when you cheat.... Now, 12 lbs out of what, 70? SEE! YOU WILL HIT YOUR GOAL IN NO TIME!
Triggers...I think I get the point here..but i am now at the stage where I accept that less than stellar choices ARE going to happen. I CAN, I WILL, I DO get back on track. Now, I have changed. I referred to many instances of past trials and errors...one time I remember eating ONE piece of dark expensive chocolate and from that day on, i gained back all my weight. Another time, it was Thanksgiving Day pie. My Atkins stint was over with one lil ole serving of tortilla chips. To blame my wrecked food plan on ONE or two dum choices is nothing more than a cop out. Just an excuse to not do the things that I know intellectually my body needs me to do. Folks, please believe you can change, really change. I plea to each of you as well as to myself. Do what works, but don't cop out.

Cool, congrats on the weight loss, that's excellent! Ya know, well you know me and this whole "balanced" thing. I really believe in it. I can see what she means. But I don't believe it when she is telling you to eat bread daily. Just like when I went to my doctors yesterday, he told me himself that I can go through out life eating no bread, no rice, no potato, and no processed garbage. He himself is a believer of not eating that stuff, it's in his diet plan himself. BUT, I "personally" believe some type of grain should be in it eventually. Just when Jerz talked about the five pound gain, that is what scares me. If you don't let your body have it, it doesn't accept it in the long run. I'm staying on phase one for as long as I can. I talked to my doctor about it about the next two months at least and he was alright with it. I am going to incorporate a few things here and there though. I'm not holding myself to it though, because if I start feeling the need for more, I'm gonna have it. And I don't want to wait until I feel like I'm going to binge on all these carbs that your nutritionist is talking about. Which I do believe she is correct also. All I ask is listen to your body. I'm not sure what your plan is on eating other things than meat and veggies is. Your doing fantastic, I hope this is it for you. I don't wanna debate, or even get you upset because your doing wonderful! Heck, I'm not eating any grains either! I am just VERY cautious that I know this binge can happen, and it is for real. It's happened to me and it is VERY hard to control. And I know when I start eating grains it is going to take a LOT of time. I'm trying to prepare for it mentally. I just want you to have the best experience and lose all your weight! But I hate for you to blow off all that she said, because personally I think she knows what she is talking about on a few things. This is just my two cent,s take it or leave it..I just wish you the best. Congrats on your loss, that's so exciting! I bet your thrilled that you've figured out something that works.
As for your dessert every month, I say more power to ya if you can handle it! :) I use to do that weekly and it still worked for me. Jus****ch out for those bad little sugar cravings afterward! I use to get those and they were a killer.
