So wish me luck because i will need it..i made some oatmeal this morning and i cant even eat the serving of it..its horrible..i always put sugar in mine..and i have a glass of water to drink with it. This is just plain oatmeal. Its what I have at the house and want to use it up before I get anything else. I like the oatmeal that is like strawberries and cream and cinnamon roll..but its just going to take awhile to like the good stuff because my taste buds are use to the JUNK! I do have some splenda but I'd probably have to use half the box to be able to taste the sugar..haha This is horrible..my husband puts so much sugar in his that when the sugar melts you can see the liquid from the sugar in his bowl..i am not that extreme! But i told him he is going to do this with me! If i am going to  lose weight he needs to also right? :) RIGHT! Thats what i thought!

If you can't do splenda, try gradually reducing the amount of sugar you add every day or couple of days til you aren't using it anymore.

Use an artificial sweetener.  If not that, then how about cinnamon, or extracts like maple or vanilla.  Or add banana or blueberries.  Heck you could probably mash them to get some of the sweetness out and stir it up to make it all sweeter.

I love oatmeal, it's one breakfast I never get tired of.

Try the steel cut oats after you finish up what you have.  I can tolerate those without sweetner a lot easier and they're delicious with bananas or blueberries like Holly suggested. Oh...I miss my oatmeal and blueberries every morning now that I'm on SB the most!!

Two things:

1) try adding artificial sweetner as others suggested OR grated apple/ handful of sultanas Personally, I cook mine in skim milk instead of water- I think the milk adds a slight sweetness plus it's a dairy serve. As suggested, cinnamon is nice too- especially with a little apple.

2) qick cook oats are not low GI- I just found this out recently

I never thought about cooking it in milk I may have to try that and see if it makes a difference..and i did try it with some cinnamon in it and it still didnt taste that well..so i may try some fruit like a few people have mentioned cause it will add some sweetness to it hopefully!  Ok what is low GI? And i seen in 19 days you are having LBL what is that?

GI- put simply: how long you have to burn the food off! So LOW is good and HIGH means you have less time to burn it off.

The glycemic index (GI) rates carbohydrate foods on how quickly blood sugar / glucose levels increase in the 2 - 3 hours after eating as the carbs are converted into glucose. Generally fat or protein doesn’t increase glucose levels.

Eating higher GI foods produces a rapid increase in blood glucose levels, triggering the pancreas to produces insulin. Insulin causes the body’s muscle & liver cells to attempt to store the excess glucose. Imagine insulin as a shuttle, moving glucose from just digested foods into storage. If the digestive system is pumping glucose into the blood stream quicker than insulin can move it into the muscles/liver or glucose stays high too long, the body will convert the excess glucose into fat.

Eating lower GI foods produces slower glucose raise, little insulin & fat storage, even if you have eaten high fat content foods!

LBL- is a Lower Body Lift, it targets the lower mid body.  After losing weight I have alot of excess baggy skin which will be removed surgically. After this, I am planning work on my arms and saggy bust.
