wanting a good exercise video

I am already talking to christa about the bob video workout But other then that...i did a thing online and i am apple shape..i am the biggest at my mid section..under my boobs...its nasty..i want to tone there and i have always had 2 c sections so in places my stomach is still numb..and my arms are huge..any advice on some good work out videos to tone these places? I seen the biggest loser show tonight...i went online on amazon and thought about getting the cookbook..i need a good book to read about what to stay away from and all that..what has a lot of carbs..cause as bad as it is..i dont know i feel really stupid

I have the Biggest Loser exercise video and it's a decent program.

I seen that you thought about start doing yours again..have you done yours lately?  I've thought about getting one of the videos to work out too..nothing like that sore feeling the next couple days and not being able to hardly sit or get up. Thanks for your reply

i don't have the newest biggest loser videos, but i have the old ones. i like the oldest one best. but the other one is good too. i also have the walking videos that Leslie Sansom makes. those are pretty good, tho they don't really do any toning other than including some weight carrying etc during the walking.

I have been looking on amazon I will have to see if they have some of the older ones. I really don't want anything with  a lot of lunges..I don't think we have met before..My  name is Stacey.. Oh..I have one Cindy Crawford video..the next challenge..and I really like it I have had it for years and use to do it  a lot years back when I was in school and haven't done it lately..just get bored with the same one all the time..I'm going to look up some of the older ones..thanks for your reply :)

I think just about any that YOU like will work.  I've really learned through the years that what one likes on videos doesn't mean that you will like it, or be able to do it!   How about those shows really early in the morning that does the stretches and basic exercises.  Think they might have other ones too.  I've been thinking about catching a few of those and taping them.  Just to see if I like them.  Also I "think" you can rent them in the local library.  It's an idea at least so you can see which ones you like before you buy a bunch and hate half of them.   Other than cardio, how about just the basic sit ups.  I know when I start doing mine I notice a BIG difference in no time at all.  I just started doing them with my kids in our little "gym zone" (what my daughter calls it).  There pretty basic and it works!  I also remember before when I lost weight I would do just simple arm stretches and those circle exercises, simple ones like that everyday.  Just moving them and keeping them up, hold onto a can in each arm and do sets of excercises with them.  LOL, I use to even do stretches like these, but stretch out my back (to work out my back) in the shower.  I was coming up with all sorts of really quick little things to do to save time since I was a single mom and always in a hurry at the time. Hey you did some good things though! I have tried working out in the morning..or even walking..and it makes me feel really crappy in the mornings..I think i am just going to start walking on my lunch break at work..its getting warmer out..pretty soon though it will be to warm!!! But I have to start walking again at nights..I just know there has been talk on the boards and I believe it was Jers that has said it..about the different workouts you should be doing..like the cardio..and the strengthing and so forth and so on..cause i dont have a clue what i should be doing..i just have to get moving.

I believe everyone is different, and works out different..  You just need to find out what works for you, and what you like to do.  For me I hate exercising.  I like it AFTER I exercise and that is about it, I like that feeling you get from a good workout.  I do have to say I like it more after I lose more weight, so as I lose I know I'll be doing more of it.  But you got to do what you like.  And just like you said, you just have to "get moving".  Any kind of extra movement your body makes is going to make a little difference.  But if your aiming towards your stomach, I swear on sit ups.  I mean, how basic is that?  LOL, I do mine even in bed!ha  I had surgery on the top of my tail bone years ago and whenever I get on the ground it just screams.  So I figure heck, why not! hehe   It still works the same.  I do need to get one of those exercise equipment..(can't think of the name) that you lay your head on it and helps doing your sit ups.  Now I had that and LOVED it.  It somehow took the pressure off my lower back to where I didn't have as much pain there.  Plus it seemed to help me be able to do more sit ups than what I normally did.  But on the other hand some people think they are useless.  So my opinion is just keep trying until you find something you like. I remember taking walks at my last job.  We had a bunch of smokers who took ten minute breaks here and there.  So all of us nonsmokers decided that we should be able to take a twenty to half hour break a day and go for a quick fast paced walk.  LOL, the big boss never did say anything to us.  It was really nice walking with a bunch of people.
