Cleaning out my closet
Woohoo! Oh I can't wait til I get to do that again. I had so much fun doing that once before. You know, I gave a few shirts to my daughter to wear that she liked after I gained my weight back. It's so depressing now when I do laundry and see them. She was about ready to throw away this one Victoria Secret shirt that I bought and absolutely loved. I had to grab it and keep it in my closet for the "one day" that I can wear it again. My husband and I was folding clothes together and I mentioned that shirt use to be mine, he said "no it wasn't", and just how he said it I could tell it was the tone of like he thought in his head "theres no way you could fit in that". Sort of upset me, but I'll get there.
So good for you throwing out all those clothes. It's good not to look back, knowing your not going to need them anymore. It's all good things going to happen in the future...yay for you!!!

Woot! I haven't done that yet. I havent even went shopping for new shirts yet since I have been doing this. Just jeans. All of my shirts are pretty baggy except for the ones that were really tight in the beginning. But I think I might go shopping either this weekend or the weekend I come back from Chicago for some new shirts. Because I am in NEED of shirts lol.
I am keeping my biggest pair of jeans, soI can take one of those pics that everyone takes lol. You know the ones where they put the pants on and they are extremely huge lol to show look I used to wear these!
I had to do it, everything is falling off. Skirts at hips not waist, pants too wide. Things were literally about to go to the ground. And folks were saying, JG, It's time....
I will keep one pair of jeans and a shirt as a marker for my after photo, but that's it.
LOL, put on my old workout clothes and it's actually quite funny.
I have a few things to wear, but not much at all!
My closet is full of things I outgrew and am finally growing back into. I went into my daughters closet and tried on her sz 26 pants and just missed buttoning them by like an inch or two. SOOOOO close I can taste it. The 24's no one in this house are claiming are going to be on my butt by June! I swear they are! lol Now hold me to it, ok? lol
Have fun tossing, Jerz!
It did feel good to see it. Especially my workout clothes that used to be fitted.
I'm just going to toss everything into a bin, I think. Really good clothes (if anyone has a very specific need, let me know ASAP), so somewhere someone will get lucky. I have good taste ; ).
I still can't wrap my head around my size. I'll be shopping (Lane Bryant most likely) soon, but my head doesn't compute a 14/16 top. The 18/20 bottom I can understand much more easily....
1X not 3x. I can't wait until I can no longer shop at LB or buy clothes not because it's what's there, but because it's "me".
Thankfully, I have a few smaller things from my last weight loss, but most of those things are getting too big. Probably do a couple of dumps....

What fun!! And GREAT motivation.....
I got rid of all my "fat" clothes about 5 years ago when I lost 70lb....then had to go out and buy new ones when I gained it all back. (Mind you, I'm not telling not to get rid of the clothes....best possible thing you can do).
I'm gonna get rid of mine as I go this time too.....bags and bags of smaller ones in the closet to look forward to
You should really try shopping for new ones other than LB...I bet you'll be surprised Jers, how you will fit into regular size 14, 16, 18 in "normal" clothes.
Keep up the good work!

Wonderful! I am so happy for you.
It is great that all of the clothes were way too big for you.
Unfortunately, I have some clothes that fit me at my lowest and I still need to lose 20 more pounds to be back in them.
It is time to let go of the clothes that fit me 50 pounds ago. I haven't been up to that weight in over 3 years!
Just think of all of the space we will have in our closets when we get to our goal weight!
