Breakfast wraps
I got pretty used to making breakfast wraps prior to Atkins. I was using a flax seed/oat/wheat flat bread. Since I can't have the bread any longer I've been trying to figure a way to make a breakfast wrap so I can throw in some variety to my meals. Yanno, instead of eggs and sausage every day. I've also tried pouring the eggbeaters onto a plate and trying to make a flattened egg. That works somewhat but it's just too fragile. This morning I tried using a piece of iceburg lettuce and wrapped it around my sausage and egg. Well that didn't work out too well. The lettuce didn't hold together and it wasn't really big enough for the ingredients. I thought about using romaine lettuce but to be honest I think the lettuce would end up going bad before I used it all. Especially if I'm using one leaf a day. It typically only holds for about 5-6 days when stored in a ziploc in the fridge.
Anyone got any ideas? It doesn't have to be a wrap.. Anything that I could eat for breakfast on the go. I like to get my beauty rest in so I'm always eating in the truck on the way to work.
this is not for induction phase, but 'round here the stores sell a low carb tortilla thing - green onion - think it's like 13g carbs. I mean, for breakfast to have a bit of carbs, it would seem that you could adjust carbs later in the day to still suit induction, or not?
There are lots of low carb breads, usually at health food stores, again, for later on.
This phase is hard to find portability; not much to do but bear with it. Wouldn't an omelet or a fritatta that has been cooked the night before and heated slightly in the 'wave before work hold up okay? I do that from time to time - cook a whole bunch of frittata and then heat and eat days to come.

The flat outs I was eating before had like 5-7g of carbs in them but I think I'm going to skip breads and starches all together for as long as I can. When I reach the end of two weeks I'm going to try and switched to eating more veggies and then add the nuts.
Never tried a fritatta. Don't even know how to make one. An omelet would work but I'm pretty bad about cooking things the night before. I suppose that's the best way to do it though. My omelet skills leave a lil less to be desired, but practice makes perfect right? lol

The quiches are easy to make actually....quite easy!
And like Neecee said with the low carb tortillas. I use ones I buy from Walmart, they are right next to the the regular tortilla shells. They are whole wheat low carb they have 7g of carbs per tortilla. They are very yummy. I make pizzas with them. And sometimes if I am in the mood for an egg....a breakfast wrap...for dinner lol.
