What's your goal weight?
Originally I had a goal weight of 150-180 (and dream of 140). I'm 5'6, all of those weights would work for my height and bone structure.
But I'm discovering they may not be realistic. : /
I was talking with my nutritionist about how much muscle I have on me. I'm 145lbs of muscle. Was it eventually going to dissipate? You know, like if I'm 277 and 145lbs of muscle now, will I be 250 and 145lbs of muscle or less. Would the muscle lbs start to go down? Not likely. And not because I lift weights, but because of my natural muscularity. Huh. Go figure.
It seems like a goal weight of 200-220 might actually have me at "fit", ie a healthy BMI of 30%. NOT what I imagined.
Strange to imagine. I really had a different idea for myself in mind.

My OVERALL goal weight is 150. I am a size 9ish to an 11. Size Medium in some shirts but mostly large due to my huge boobs lol. I am happy at 170. Realistically I can make 150...I have a good amount of muscle but not as much as you Jerz. I'm also 5'6'' and look DAMN good at 200 lol....but dont want 200. :)
I will look great at 200. I haven't been there since I was 14. Then I was a size 16. So, given that now I am a 14/16 top and 18 bottom, I have no clue what I'll be at 200 this go around.
Just weird to think THAT'S goal. I really was thinking lower. I mean, if it happens, it happens. But...you don't want to lose muscle...and if I have 145lbs already, well, I get what she was saying.

I'm pretty ure i graduated high school at 215 - 220 wearing a size 18. I was 200 in my senior pictures. So I know I look good! lol. Even tho at that time I thought I was HUGE....NOT! No double chin or anything size 16 nice curves...ugh. Im gonna get there soon tho...Start jogging every morning...gym at night...or Exercise TV. I cant wait to taste the 220's lol Woot to us!
Well, I know the weight I am searching for right now without the advice of a medical professional is 250. Right now, I just want to get back to the weight I was 20yrs ago when I got married then I'll go from there. To set a goal of 135 right now would just seem daunting and unrealistic. When I started at 373, I think 250 is not only realistic but achievable.
I go back to see my doc in 2 months for prescription refills and I am going to talk to him more about an achievable goal at that time.

I'm 5'7" and my goal is really more BMI related than weight. Would like to get BMI below 30, so have set my weight goal at 190. Would LOVE to get below 200....haven't been there since I've had kids and my oldest turns 37 on Sunday....EEK (does that mean I'm not 40 anymore?)
That would also mean I had lost 105lb and there's certainly something about breaking that 100lb mark that I would like to achieve.
I also just got back from a 2nd orthopedic opinion regarding my knee. He says I definitely need a total knee replacement (nothing else will do), but won't do surgery until I'm below 200. Now there's inspiration of a totally different kind!!! He also says I'm too young for a total knee and there's no way I want one done now anyway, but I have no choice here but to get this weight off.....can only help my knee pain.
I'm updating my ticker too this morning cause when I got on the scale for my starting SB weight, I've put on almost 5lb since my last weigh in on 3/8....knew I was doing it and it didn't stop me. Not proud of it, but facing reality!!
My overall goal is between 160 - 175. I'm 5'10. Right now I'm shooting for 250 by the end of the summer.
My BMI was 44 when I started. Now its 42.
From what everyone else is saying, based on my height, my overall goal should be more than 175? I dunno - for right now I'm just shooting for getting healthier.
I started at 150-160, but now that I'm here (150), I'm hungry for 140. I've still got a lot of belly fat that can go bye-bye...so it's not unrealistic. When I reach 140, I'll start pursuing plastic surgery (holy flab, batman!), I've been to one consultation already...and will go to more when I'm at the right weight.
I'm only 5'2" so I still got a while to go..sigh.. But I do carry my mama's genes and I have very large athletic legs. Even thinner my legs still seem on the big side. Probably why I've always done so well biking even at a heavier weight.
I've only seen myself at 190 since being an adult, 160 at a teenager, so anything in between there I'll be thrilled with. I have a feeling 170-180 will be my lucky number. Right now I'm just aiming for 190 because I know I've been there and I felt great at that weight.
