Started our garden today. In doing so I forgot to eat lunch. Just never really felt hunger I guess. It was 4pm when I realized I hadn't eaten anything. Finished up the garden work and had a snack while my wife made dinner. We ended up eating about 6pm. Around 8pm I wanted something really sweet. I decided to make some sugar free jello because I still don't have all the ingredients I need for the no bake cheese cake. I made some lime but who knew the sugar-free wasn't instant! The jello is still chilling in the fridge and I haven't been able to sample it yet! :(
My back is killing me from the last two days of bending, stooping, hoing, tilling raking, etc.. I wonder if normal sized people deal with pain like this. Surely it's because of my large torso.
Either way, I feel really good. I can't believe how un-hungry I am. I don't recall it ever feeling like this when I tried it before. I wonder what tomorrows weigh-in will bring? Also I have karate tomorrow night. :)
Look at you with seven days under your belt! I know you have to feel so good about yourself.
Give it some more time and it won't be long before you will be noticing how different it is to throw those kicks in karate. I used to shock myself at how much higher those kicks got once the panni started going down.
Congratulations on finding your groove,
Mary
Yay! Sounds like you are doing great! Question: was that 3 TUBS of sour cream with supper? LOL...funnin ya there, you are sure eating hearty, but I bet it works great for many months. I hope you do spend more time planing Atkins friendly desserts - that is your Achille's heel, ya know~ better get poised for the sweetie-attack you know is coming!
yes, if i can daresay i am normal...gardening sucks like that. I am in good overall condition, too, and my body will bark for days after even one morning of raking, hoe-ing, weeding. i am not sure there is too much one can do about getting sore from all of that. Be sure to take lots of breaks, we can get hurt, even YOU Young Buck!
i have seeds started - just cukes, zukes, cilantro, chives, italian parsely and tons of flowers!
Do you compost? You should - it is easy! Your garedn will love you. Start dumping all of your coffee grounds, egg shells, veggie/fruit scraps (no fat, meat or the skunks will come) into a bucket, then place it all into a bigger bucket outside with a bunch of holes for aeration, stir it up once in a while, work into your soil. You can buy those bigger containers - even ones that make it easier to stir, but you can make one way easy too. Even a five gallon bucket will get ya started!
Now that you are eating more veggies, eggs, you can make this stuff work for you!
