Food Tracking

SO TRUE!! I've been using fitday.  Having to log everything has made me look at labels - it's amazing how much salt is in everything!!  I've been doing alright as far as calories go, and even getting all the nutrients from what I eat.  I've been consistantly going over the amount of sodium I'm supposed to have :( I guess it will be easier when I get used to the taste of low sodium stuff. I've lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks (I know it won't continue at that rate - I always lose a nice chunk at first , then it slows down)

You know, I never really tracked sodium.  I really don't eat anything packaged because I'm more of a "whole food" person.  But this week the best thing was frozen meals.  egads, one frozen meal contains 25% of your entire sodium intake for the day!!!  I'm so glad to be back home now and able to eat my own food.   The one thing it definitely did was get me back on track.  I'm really happy that I had this past week.  I've been floundering for a while, thinking I was normal.  HAH!

Good for you on the weight loss!!!  As long as you remain realistic about it and know that it slows down, you are good to go. Donna

Hi Brenda, I am home now, thank god.  I had a great week so somehow coming home tonight was a lot more peaceful then it's been.  Funny how when we are in control of our food the whole world looks good!! I made the first dinner that my famly has had since I was away.  Frozen pizzas and Subway for them.  Men are funny. I am chugging along.  Going to take me a whole lot to get me off track now.  Yay me!

Um, I used to know a Christa, but she didn't weight anywhere near 230 pounds.  Nice to meet  you anyhow. haha You are doing so good, I'm proud of you.  And now that you are back into the warmer weather and coaching that softball team, you will be at goal in no time!!! You did get that position didn't you???
