Atkins Day 4 - Yes, I'm still counting it as day 4 despite day 3's <0.5g of flour! :P
Breakfast:
4 cups coffee (first mug teaspoon creamer 1 packet equal, second mug 1 packet equal only)
2 egg patties
2 sausage patties
Lunch:
1 packet herb & garlic tuna
10 olives (green/black) (Forgot to add this initially, hence the edit)
2.5 cups lettuce
3 tablespoons real bacon bits
1/8 -1/4 cup spicy ranch dressing
Snack:
3 pepperoni slices
1/2 deli slice of Muenster cheese
Dinner:
2 Grilled pork chops (steak seasoning, garlic powder, brushed on butter)
6-8 full stalks of grilled fresh asparagus (garlic powder, brushed on butter)
Water:
120 ounces so far. It will probably be about 140 ounces for the day. YAY water!
I felt GREAT this morning when I woke up. I did go to bed a little earlier last night and got about an extra hour of sleep. Could have been the sleep..or could have been the Atkins. :) Hunger was controlled today. I felt none. FANTASTIC!
I've figured out where my headaches are coming from. It's the amount of sodium I'm taking in. I'm going to start learning how to season without nearly as much salt. The steak seasoning had a good deal of salt and I usually don't spare the seasonings when I grill. :)
I went to see Dr. Voellinger today. The consult went pretty good. My blood pressure was 132/82. That's lower than it has been in a LONG time. Last visit to the PCP was less than a month ago and it was 140/89. Atkins...??? Maybe soooo!! We'll see!
Almost forgot the other things I meant to include.
My breath.. Mmmm.. yahhh.. I wilted the daffodils! Gotta love ketosis eh!? The same goes for my **** with or without asparagus.. It smells foul! I LOVE IT! hahah sick eh? Yeah I know..but it lets me know I'm doing it right and that makes me excited!
Do you remember when I was trying to figure out what was causing my gas?? Well in case you weren't privy to my gas post. I've had horrible bouts of gas for as long as I can remember. I peel the paint on the walls. My wife has elaphantitus of the nostrils from sleeping in the same room as me at night. Welp, since I started atkins I have farted all of 3 times. Can you believe that!??? They didn't even smell! So amazing! It was the carbs allll along! I've only had diarrhea on one occasion as well and I think that was from the pep/cheese snack I ate early on day 3. Seem to handle it better as an evening snack.

Today: I hate to get pedantic on ya but 2 cups of loosely packed lettuce (it was loose..right).. and 1 cup of veggies... (how much did that asparagus come to). You and me both know that equal is a no no according to the book and watch the caffeine. In the beginning I had to cut down to 3 cups a day.
Great choices for snacks... some folks don't lose well with the olives... so it's a wait and see. I'd try to ditch the processed pepperoni for something else. I DO give it to Jon and I nip at it here and there but for induction, we were clean all the way.
That tuna.. it was prepackaged? What's the carb count with the garlic and herb?
It looks really good to me... I'm glad to hear your hunger is already under control.
I daily plated the whole day. That site is SO slow now. Shows 1,727 calories and 20 grams of carbs for the day. That's below my suggested caloric intake for the day and the carbs are dead on. I didn't put the coffee itself because well, it's pointless, but I did count for the creamer and equal. My daily plate site should be public. You can visit it here:

Check out that fat and cholesterol! WOOohoo!!! Sodium is ASTRONOMICAL! I have to get that down. I bet I had more sodium than that too because I didn't count my seasonings. :(
It's quite possibly that I am retaining water because of all that damned sodium. I will try to cut it out.
EDIT:
OH, I almost forgot! While I had 20 grams of carbs for the day there was a significant amount of dietary fiber in the asparagus and lettuce. The fiber in the lettuce practically cancels the carbs in itself.
I'm also working out cutting out the equal all together. Tomorrow morning I plan on trying my coffee black with no additives. Black with 1 sweetener was quite good this morning.
