How do you feel about your new body? (xpost)

Feel like an alien.  Feel like an imposter.

Hoping that PS will help redefine the skin issues so I can start to live the life I hoped to live when I was obese. I am currently not living that 'dream' due to excess skin and associated shame.

Biggest fear- not accpeting the scars from PS.

I think with plastic surgery we are trading one set of scars for another ... Hopefully, the PS scars will be more 'acceptable' to us.

awwww, Em.  i SO applaud your strength to seek PS.  I cannot say even if $ were not an issue that I would really do it. It is easier for me to accept myself the way I am than to risk the pain and recovery, man I am a baby about it. My panni is hanging enough right here and now to get ps! You have nothing to lose in this department..and everything to gain if you feel this bad about how you look. I know you are doing the right thing!  I think you already know -  just don't have Hollywood expectations...you really are trading one thing for another, both rather far from a "perfect" body - whatever that is!
