Anyone else notice....
That after a few months of eating fresh veggies and 'home cooked' foods, etc... that the pre-packaged stuff tastes nasty?
Eating "healthy" for me used to be taking lean cuisine to work for lunch or something and all the 100 calorie packs, etc.... but now I am trying to make most of my stuff at home. I have noticed a HUGE difference. I still eat a VERY select few Lean Cuisine meals -- like an occasional pizza-type thing or something that I REALLY cannot eat out (healthy anyway) -- and I rarely eat one of the 100-calorie type packs of cookies which are just o.k. -- but my god -- the lean cuisines I used to eat all the time are NASTY now.
Anyone else noticed this? The stuff I am cooking at home now just tastes so much more FULFILLING!
I keep hearing about the faux potato with cauliflower and I want to try it but then I don't.....something about it ....hmmm....
I love cauliflower so I suppose it can't be bad.....I'm just trying to decide if I think it's REALLY going to taste like POTATO -- if I want potato I want it to taste like potato...does it really 'fool' you?
It's TWUE! It happened to me. I think packaged cookies are beyond awful, and frozen pizza? very few and far between - you will pay a lot for a frozen one that tastes in the ballpark of "okay".
It is really cool. Fast food even tastes awful, most of the time...and shockingly unfulfilling for how many calories are in any one item!
