Sunday Supper..

Up before dawn to chop the peppers and onions and mince the garlic..... got it on the stove with the tomatoes.  Put in the mountain of meatballs, sausage and braccioli....    The house smells like a Sunday... Pepperoni, provolone and black olives are ready to set on the tray...  eggs are boiled...   Salad is prepped.. just need to put it together and dress it before serving. The ziti is cooked.. ready to put it together with the mozarella, ricotta and romano to bake.   The house has been cleaned to within an inch of it's life...  Nephew and family are due any minute.... and I have one prayer.. LORD.. PLEASE KEEP ME OFF THEM MEATBALLS!!!   LOL   

I hope you have three meatballs!  MMMM, wish I could be there.  I have chicken stewing for chicken & noodles later tonight!

Wow, and here I'm drinking my morning coffee..haha  First cup at that!  Hope you have fun, and wow did you just make me hungry.  Reminds me I better take out the london broil, gonna make fajitas without the tortillas!  I decided after I gained two pounds after eating two of them that no one gets any!ha  I'll serve bulgar or something with it instead.  Maybe I'll add stewed tomatoes with it or something to make it serve better.  Won't kill em not to eat the shells.

Like Necee said, have only three! :)  Now I want meatballs!  You'll have to send me a recipe, it sounds so good!

I had ONE meatball and ONE sausage.. but mama mia.. that sauce just smells heavenly.  I didn't even PEEK at the ziti!!   I made the high fat version of Shari's cheesecake filling type dessert and put cherries on it for the other guys... and Jon has his plain.  I just stuck my finger in it!  lol  

My nephew hasn't had a good meatball in ages....  that boy is FULL!  He's like "Aunt Lor.. one more.. one more.. one more.    Yanno...  baked ziti is like qualude parmejiana.. they're all passed out laying around now.. lol

 

Sounds WONDERFUL!!!  I was blessed today to not have to cook. Hubby did breakfast., my 15 yr old did lunch, and my 18 yr old is doing dinner. All part of my birthday present along with a beautiful sounding windchime and musical birthday card. It's been great except for one thing....they keep leaving me with the dishes. I guess you just never get it all. lol  Beth

Yes.. dishes are part of any deal around here.. holidays, birthdays, Sunday supper.. LOL Dinner was done around 3:00.. then I decided to take my grandnephews to the movies.  (I haven't been to a movie theatre in 15 years).  The movie began at 4:40.  WELL... I did the dishes, packed up the leftovers, showered, did my hair, put on makeup and dressed and was out the door by 4:20!! Sometimes I simply amaze myself!
