lol. I have come to the conclusion. Since I am going to change my work out routines starting Monday. I am going to change my diet. Wait what diet lol. Really I havent been following anything. Starting Monday tho I want to do Atkins. JERZ! I am doing Atkins and will need your support thru this!!!! lol. I like bread :( and potatoes and pasta! But I dont need them. I wish I liked eggs better. So yea lets see if this can speed my weight loss up a bit...I mean I am losing at a good pace and am happy but I feel I am only half assing it. So Jerz you will be hearing from me in your PM's or emails or something because i am sure I have questions that you have already answered before but....you're going to answer them again :) I dont feel like searching thru the posts.
My birthday is coming up. I wanna go out and party it up and feel super good. April 18th I want to be 210 but I will take 220 :) lol. So here we go! Boot Camp and low carb here I come! With the help ofcourse of Phentermine which I just refilled today :)
Hey girl! Wanted to drop by and recommend you pick up Atkins book and read at least the first 10 chapters before you start. It's a real eye opener and it's VITAL that you understand exactly what the Atkins plan is. I'm probably going to be doing Atkins soon myself. I've done it in the past and thought I was doing it right but I was completely incorrect. You can probably go to the thrift store and pick up a copy for 75 cents.. Otherwise you can purchase it online from Amazon.com for 4-10 bucks.
I'm happy you're deciding to go this way! :) I really think that your weight loss will increase a great deal and in turn I'm pretty darn sure you'll be eating a lot more healthy..not to mention eating more! :)

I read about it in a link that Jerz sent me a while back and I was thinking about getting the book as well. When do you plan on starting?
I am hoping this will increase the weight loss along with the exercise I will be doing. It should change my body extremely because I know the next 20 pounds that come off will be a dramatic change in my looks. Eating more healthy...yea more than likely. I have actually learned when to stop eating at a meal these days. There is like a HUGE alarm in my head that goes off when I hit that point. And I just stop. I have been eating more food than before these days....even tho it is still under 1000 calories....I have done atkins in the past too but i was doing it wrong as well. I HATED it! lol
I'm on like chapter 8 of the book. I want to read it all the way through before I start. Meanwhile I've been reading studies online about fats vs carbs and just further educating myself. One of the reasons I want to do Atkins is because it is pretty close to how I will be eating early on as a post-op. I'm going to try to get some more reading done tonight. I haven't touched the book in about a week. It's a good read and it's not boring at all. I just have been doing other things.
When I did atkins in the past I tried to restrict almost all carbs..including vegetables. I was also eating fast food and really not eating good foods at all. Even with all of that I still managed to lose 50 lbs. I thought it was a short term thing though. I never understood the whole lifestyle change associated with it. I also didn't understand the importance of carbs after the initial induction phase. Hell I didn't even know there was an induction phase! All I knew was eat all the meat and cheese I wanted and don't eat hardly any veggies and no breads. I did that for SEVERAL months. Its amazing I didn't die! Most days the only veggies I ate was iceburg lettuce! Anyways..after I finally caved and started eating carbs again the weight SOARED back on! It was crazy fast coming back on!
I think I'll be starting Atkins in about a week..maybe less if I get some reading done this weekend.

I remember when I tried Atkins, my mother and I did it when I was in high school. Pfft. Seriously I did it for 4 days I couldnt take it anymore. Like you I eliminated ALL carbs including veggies. I ate, eggs, cheese, meat, and jerky. THAT WAS IT! lmao. I didnt lose an ounce plus I was tired of eating cheese and jerky lol. So yea I did it totally wrong as well! But I am excited for this!
Congratulations Christa on going on Atkins. I used it to lose 117 pounds and to help to get a handle on my insulin resistance and PCOS. I use regular low carb for maintenance and I haven't lost any more weight since I started on my plastics journey. But I find that I start to get a lot of cravings when I eat too many grains, I only eat the good ones, and I'll gain a few pounds. So three days on induction, and it's all good.
Sometimes I stay on it for a few days because when I'm on my game with Atkins and the water, my skin looks really good! And I don't feel sluggish during my workouts.
Hey, what's wrong with this picture? My last surgery, a thigh lift, is scheduled for April 18th. I'll be having surgery and you'll be out partying for your birthday? Hope it's a great one!
