What in the world is going on?
That's what I do now and then to Beth. If I REALLY WANT something in a BAD way... I will just DO IT. It's not like daily- it's not like weekly. But maybe every 2-3 weeks, I'll just buy something I feel my body is screaming for. It has been a bag of skittles before to :)
I did start out beating myself up over it but I just think about it now as- being NORMAL. Cause EVERYONE will crave something like that now and then. I'm afraid that the first time I treat myself as if I'm being punished (NOT allowing a treat once in awhile) that will be when I'll catch myself slipping in a BIG way.
I do as you do though- I will eat the one thing I want so bad... most always it is a treat (candy corn, skittles or an ice-cream bar). But I don't FORGET about my WL plans- I just add the treat to my menu that day. And keep going.
I have found that in doing it this way- I do tend to loose a bit slower than others who do NOT cave... but I also do NOT AT ALL feel like I'm on a "diet"- or that I'm restricted from any foods. THIS is what has helped me to stick with it for the past 6 months. Always I have walked away by now.
CONGRATS to you! You are in the 260's girly!!!!!! Goin DOWN!!!!!!
I agree with what Beth had to say here... I think that happens a LOT! I've noticed it as well. BUT... as soon as you let go ALL the way... for say a WEEK.... you WILL likely see a gain :)
I would just be grateful & pick up and move forward :) Give your body a good amount of time to work on itself before you indulge gain :) But I would try very hard NOT to feel you can NEVER do it again. I know THAT is when I will WANT to the worst :)

Thank you! We are going to see a few chapels to pick out the one we are getting married in (in June) so I will consistently be reminded ALL weekend long of the main reason I am trying to stick to this (initially) RIGHT NOW! Everything from June on can move as slowly as possible, as long as it keeps moving in the right direction! I just want it to move quickly from now til June
You have time on your side. Last year, I started in March to get ready for surgery in July, and lost 68 pounds eating a protein-forward but balanced diet. I also had a couple nice meals and splurges in there-- it wasn't very hard at all-- since you have the same time window, hopefully you will have similar results!
