B: Yogurt (5pts - 220 cal)     Apple (1 pt - 60 cal)     V8 Fusion (8 oz) (2pts - 120 cal) L: Lean Cuisine (6pts - 270 cal)     1 Bellybutton Orange (1pt - 70 cal) S: V8 Fusion (8oz) (2pts - 120 cal) D: Spinach Manicotti (6pts - 300 cal) S: Skittles (4pts - 200 cal)     Mini Cadbury Eggs (5pts - 190 cal)

Total: 32pts - 1550 cal

I weighed in at WW yesterday and I was up 1 pound since last week.  I cried at my leader.  I felt so stupid.  Granted I got my period yesterday so it's probably all water weight, but still - numbers are numbers, and I flunked.  I'm going to eat more fruit this week and try to work V8 fusion juice into my daily routine and see if the extra fruit/veggie serving will make a difference.

Ok Janina.. we need to have a tiny little itsy bitsy chat! First off...  this is not a test.  Look, I KNOW I'm no one to talk... I throw complete HISSY fits (thank GOODNESS you aren't here to see it.. it's a scary and somewhat grotesque procedure).   You don't pass or fail.. and if you want to grade yourself.. let me ask you if you did the do all week.  Did you do the do?  If you did the do, give yourself an ATTA girl...  which is an A, by the way!  Wait out the period and by the by... you're ALLOWED to cry!  Emotional enemas are so essential!  I hope you had a good one cause today is a new day!!!  :) :)  By the way.. . missed you last night! Ok.. today about 4 oz of lean ground beef with an egg in it and 1/4 cup of cheese (was really disgusting and good all at the same time) Had the same thing (leftovers) at around 4:00 Probably going to have a chicken leg quarter later... I'm just not into it today, although I DID go do 1 hour on the treadmill and 30 min on the bike.  <--- so I'm givin' myself an ATTA GIRL!

You're right - I'm too hard on myself.  If I see the scale go the wrong way I flip, because I'm so scared that I'm starting to gain the weight back again.  I'm absolutely terrified of that.  And what scares me too, is that when I started weigh****chers, I actually INCREASED my calories by about 300 a day, so I'm scared that I either f'ed up my metabolism by going so low for so long, and now weigh****chers won't work for me, OR, weigh****chers is just too high calorie for me and I'm going to gain weight.  So I don't know what to do - either stay on Weigh****chers or get off it.  Part of me wants to get off it as quick as possible because I don't want to backslide.  The other part of me says "Calm down and see what happens".

I need a hug.

I vote calm down and see what happens. Give it a month. Your body needs time to adjust and see what you are doing. At the end of a month, if it hasn't changed and you are still gaining, I would say it is time for re-evaluation. One pound could def be TOM and we all know how that goes. Take some deep breaths and keep chugging. You can do it!

I'm sorry Janina. I'm having a bad day too. I do want to ask you something though if you promise you understand it's not asked in judgement, I just don't understand WW, I think. A lot of days, I've noticed you have a small candy snack. Candy's not evil, god knows I had my time in Truffleland last week, but it's on really rare occasions-- not because candy is "bad" so much as it's just...well...not good. It doesn't give my body anything it needs. It causes your blood sugar to spike horribly, and then leaves you as fast as it came and you're hungry again soon. All my snacks (except my crazed birthday fiasco!) have to do something for my body-- that's the deal I make with myself. The sugar spikes alone are bad for me, let alone the empty calories. I eat cheese, or wholegrain crackers, or soy crisps, hell, even a SF fudgecicle has a little protein. It may be that I just don't understand your plan, but would it be possible to replace those snacks with-- well, if it has to be sweets, real fruit-- or if not, something else your body likes almost as much as your mouth does?

You're right, and I can replace those snacks with fruit (which I'm working on - if you see, I had two pieces of fruit today and some fruit/veggie juice).  It's just hard to eat it because my tummy is so little and I have to eat a lot of points a day (which is another reason why I'm thinking WW isn't working for ME).  I'm going to talk to my leader about how to get in healthy snacks AND enough points a day.   I honestly don't know what to do with myself.  No one in my family is healthy so I have no one to look at as an example.  This sucks.

always, when given a choice, whole fruit is better than juice due to the fiber that helps slow down release of sugars. But again, it's not the end of the world to have one stnkin cup. Are you feeling confident that your portions are what they should be? It's good that you seem to eat pre-portion foods, that helps.  Give it more time!

Yeah Neecee, I know my portions are small enough because with my band, I can only eat like a lean cuisine portion of everything anyway.  My problem is eating all my points; I am having a hard time doing it.  So I've been going for indulgent snacks (high in points) to make up for what I'm not getting during the day.  I'm only having the juice because it's a serving of veggies in each glass, and I don't get in enough veggies a day (AT ALL!).
