Abstinence - Day 8

Well, here's my eighth day of abstinence, ala the Core Plan on Weigh****chers: Breakfast 1 orange 1 cup oatmeal 1 cup 1% milk* (this is not a Core item, but I will use up the last gallon until I get to the skim milk I shopped for this past Saturday.  Skim milk IS a Core Item) 2 cups coffee 20 oz. water Lunch Spinach and tomato omelet (according to the "Turnaround" cookbook by WW) 1 peach 6 oz. nonfat, low sugar yogurt with fruit* (yogurt with fruit is not a Core item, but I can't stand just plain yogurt) 10 oz. water Dinner Chicken breast with white sauce (this is my own recipe, borrowed from a cookbook of LA Weight Loss) 1 cup mashed potatoes with margarine**(this is not a Core item, but I had already defrosted the chicken breasts on Friday, and wanted to use them before they went bad, and the margarine should be fat free, but I wanted to use up the old tub of margarine first). 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce 1 can vegetable soup 1-1/2 cups 1% milk* I am not strictly following the Core Plan on Weigh****chers yet.  I have to use up the old mayonnaise, the old margarine, and the old 1% milk, first.  I'm not going to just throw them out. That's okay Denise - You've got the 35 points you can use for non-core items.  Best of luck and let me know how your weight is doing on Core.  I'm doing flex and I'm struggling.

Wow sounds good. Here I am following WW as well in Holland, but we don't have a core programme. What is it, much stricter?
I am on flexipoints programma. they have comfort plus foods here, that you can eat for a certain amount of points. Say patatoes or pasta for 4 points as much as you want (without overeating yourself senseless) chicken OR steak for 3 points

That omelet sounds GREAT, do you have a recipe for me?

Hey Denise! I started out a 1/2 day on the CORE program - which I think is great.  It is on the line of what I eat anyway.  The thing is I kept finding that there were little things that weren't CORE that I still believed beneficial and most important would keep me sane and happy.  I know we have the 35 points outside of CORE to use, but I found it best to use the Flex plan first.  You maybe should try the Flex  because it seems like you will go all out of range with the CORE.  You have to do the CORE or not because you won't have the results. I notice you love mashed potatoes like me!!! Well, unfortunately they are not the greatest thing for you.  You are better off eating a sweet potato/yam or a baked potato. You are doing great.  Plain yogurt can be great if you add splenda or equal and some fruit and or oatmeal - yummy! Best, Leila
