Haven't done them in 2 months. ...In case anyone's curious.

I'm confused.  I see the 7 month pictures but I thought you had been doing this longer?

I've always worked out (since I was a kid), but I've only been in training since July 07.  ~40lbs in 7 months.

Wow, all of your workouts are paying off for you because you look like you've lost MORE than forty pounds. I loved your conversation with your doc about Atkins.  Just because you have a medical degree, it doesn't make you a nutritionist or an endocrinologist. Wink  Great job with your weight loss, Mary

Actually, Mary, that wasn't my conversation, but one a fellow Atkins follower had...one I have prepared myself to have with anyone who disagrees with the program. But thank you for the compliment.  I get a lot of "how much have you lost!" questions and I guess it's because it looks like a lot more.  That's what training did for me.  I mean, at 281ish I wear a 14/16 top and an 18 bottom, whereas at this previous weight without this kind of working out, I was a 20 or 22.

I know what you mean about working out and being smaller, even though you weigh more.  I was explaining that to a friend of mine a while back, how I was losing inches, but not losing weight.  She said, at that rate, you'll be a size ten at 250 pounds! I got no problem with that. Wakka Wakka  Mary

Difference is amazing, Jerz.....CONGRATULATIONS!  I'm about the same weight and WISH I were in those sizes.  But then, I haven't been working out like you have and have a few years on you...LOL.  Keep up the good work, girl....sounds like you're on the right course. It's all good....not hard to be positive about all of this I bet.

<<....not hard to be positive about all of this I bet.>> ' LOL, have you read my posts?  I actually do have a hard time being positive about it.  Shame too.  I mean, I see growth and change, but it doesn't quite match what I want for myself...you know the "someone else could take 7 months and lose all the weight...and I couldn't."  I'm slowly learning to be a little bit easier on myself, but have a lot of work to do on that front.

Actually, I do read your blog and that's why I made that statement...LOL. I think we're all our own worse enemy when it comes to thinking positively about ourselves....must be part of the disease process.  (cause or effect?....interesting question)
